My husband and I came here a couple of weeks ago before the Diana Ross concert. I called to make a reservation the day of, right after they opened, and at first they said it was all booked up (because of the concert) but after they realized it was just 2 of us we were able to get in! That was the first plus with my experience with them, given the short notice. I've had this place bookmarked for a while and so glad we finally decided to try, everything we had was great! Our server also did a great job of letting us know up front which particular menu items took the longest to cook so that we would know, and not be late to the concert! I started out with the Southern Baptist drink, soo good... I could have had several more of those if we had more time, only enough time for 2! My husband ordered Hennessy, but they didn't have so he got the Courvoisier. They have those huge ice cubes, which I like because they just look cool, lol! We tried the calamari for our appetizer and it was good, nothing that blew us away, but they were crispy enough which sometimes doesn't happen... My husband got the steak entree and I got the flounder. My husband said his steak was good, again, not blown away, but good and cooked to order. He's not really a creamed spinach kind of guy so I ate that part for him ; ) I, under normal circumstances, would never order flounder at a restaurant because in general I find flounder super bland, unless a family member is cooking it at a fish fry, but I was blown away by this flounder. It was delicious, crisp on the outside and packed with flavor. Everything that came with that dish blended together so nicely, such a great combination of flavors! We will definitely return, based off the flounder and southern baptist alone! But, also want to try more menu items...

Drove by the area to see what was available for dinner - found The District and was pleasantly surprised. Great cocktail choices - inventive mixes and surprising liquors. Had the special - sea bass, and the risotto. Both were fresh and favorable. Recommend that you make a point to visit this restaurant. Not a drive-by!

This is an excellent restaurant that is away from the crowds of The Historic Section of Downtown Wilmington. Quiet, peaceful, comfortable, the ambience is soft on the eyes. The service is excellent, the food is great and presented well. A very nice place to have brunch / lunch / or dinner with family, friends, or with a date. Highly recommended!!!

Went here last for dinner, everything was fresh and delicious. Beautiful bar and unique drinks. A definite hidden treasure in the Brooklyn Arts district.

This place is top-notch (because they have Mezcal AND amazing charcuterie), yet not pretentious. I especially like it because it is away from the heavy tourist traffic on weekends!

Super expensive for what you get, much better quality places in Wilmington at that price point.

All good, but a waitperson didn’t show up that night so our waitress was slammed. Made the service slow, but she handled herself very well.

Two couples had dinner recently and we enjoyed our meal and service very much. It is within walking distance to the Wilson Center so it is nice to park once. Two had the filet, one salmon and one pork chop. All delicious. We each shared a dessert. A good wine and cocktail menu. Audrey our server was pleasant and efficient.

Was in the area for two days this was recommended by our host .. we skipped lunch and planned to get there at opening to eat early and relax since it was cold and rainy out .. we were the only people in the restaurant from 5 til we left at 6:45 .. ordered the brick chicken which took 50 minutes to cook per the waitress and came out looking like a tasteless rotisserie chicken leg , if it had not been for the amazing blue cheese wedge salad and the old fashion our server / bar tender made we would of left without eating much of anything at all

Fantastic food and cocktails. That staff is awesome, especially Kelsey. This is a great place for a pre or post Wilson center event or even just a long day at the office. A new favorite!!

Just had dinner there and it was great. Flounder and Salmon were amazing, the charred bread on the charcuterie plate was the bomb and the butter with the bread was some of the best we have ever had. Definitely recommend!

The food and service here is absolutely impeccable. We went last night on a whim and were greeted promptly and treated like it was a 5 star restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection, the bread and butter was amazing. We ordered the salmon dish and shrimp risotto which we would get again! The waiter was very attentive and even the chef came out to ask how we liked our meal. if you're in the Wilmington area this is a must!

The District Kitchen hosted our Exectuive MBA dinner meeting with a prefix menu and it was phenomenal. I've worked in restaurants and bars and often times... no matter how great the service normally is... staff gets stretched thin when a very large (30+) per party enters at one time. The staff at District Kitchen from the servers to the kitchen staff handled everything perfectly. Highly recommended
