Went for lunch during a girls trip and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Our waitress specifically was Emma. Will be back!
Cool old buildings. Nice wait staff. Food was German style but zero extra flare or effort. A plate of average food was delivered.
Excellent German restaurant with a great, comfortable atmosphere and friendly service. Delicious and authentic German food (German mother and have traveled to Germany).
Authentic food and such kind staff!
Very good food. This was the first time my family and I try German food. Definitely will be back again!
This has been one of our favorite places to visit while in Wilmington. German restaurants are rare in NC, and we need to help them succeed. Unfortunately, in our most recent visit we either caught them on a bad day or they have made a downward turn. Soggy schnitzel that was barely edible, a scrap of potato salad and pale vegs added to the plate. The beer was good. And we can still recommend the wurst plate. But we left grieving our old favorite restaurant. Hoping it was just a bad night, but we're not sure we'll be returning.
The food was delicious and the staff were courteous as well as helpful.
Delicious meal. Nice waitress. Refreshing German Beer. German Sauerkraut, Mashed Potatoes, and other tasty German Sausages. Fresh German Cakes and Breads. Nice Historic Environment.

Empty place @ 11:30 am, was seated. Excited for some morning pastry. Two parties arrived after myself and both were helped to order. Server made eye contact with me before helping the other guests so she should have known I was ready. No explanation, never happened to me before in my life. Had to walk out, really disappointed. Will not be going back.
I can’t give any lower or higher as we were never able to get in the restaurant! The restaurant advertised as closing at 8pm on Saturday night. We had a party of 8 and called about 7:15pm to give them the heads up that we were headed their way. Told them we’d be there in 20 minutes. Got there at 7:35pm and doors were locked. We knocked on the door , but no one would come to the door. We were really looking forward to a good German meal. Too bad we’ll never know.

Food has seriously gone down hill. Sauerbrauten is rarely served & when it is it is like a thin piece of leather. Disgusting. Will not return or recommend.
