The Melting Pot is always such a fun and memorable dining experience. I took my daughter there for her 14th birthday dinner. The fondue courses are well paced, the ingredients are fresh, and everything feels interactive without being overwhelming. From the cheese and salads to the entrées and chocolate fondue, it’s consistently delicious.
Service has always been attentive and patient, especially when explaining the process, which really adds to the experience. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date night, celebration, or special occasion. It’s not just dinner — it’s an experience I always enjoy coming back to.

We ate here to celebrate my birthday, and it was fantastic. My partner and I are both vegan, so we were a little nervous about what we would be able to eat, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our server, Thea, was VERY knowledgeable, and made the experience so nice and stress-free. It was really great to be able to go to a non-vegan restaurant and still have a good meal and get the same kind of experience as the other non-vegan folks. Came for my wife’s birthday, and they immediately started off with a 5 star rating. How this came about was, they called to see if anyone had any allergies. That set the bar. I’ve eaten a lot places in a lot cities across the country. This was the first place that ever contacted us to ask that. The meal consisted of 4 courses. I’ll tell you, it seemed like it was measured proportional to what people should eat. By the time you were done, I wasn’t hungry. The food was exceptionally excellent. Yes you read that right. Exceptionally excellent. The waitress was phenomenal!! We were so impressed, we’re coming back for our anniversary in about two weeks and already have it scheduled!

The Melting Pot here in Wilmington definitely doesn’t disappoint in being worth the money. While it can be pricey at $125 for two people when going for the full 4 course option, you get more than enough food to warrant the cost across the cheese fondue, the entrée and the dessert plus a salad in the middle of it all. So many different options in terms of protein as well as the actual broth you’d like to cook it in, even offering you the option to tempura fry your protein or grill it outright. If you’re worried about undercooking it, they have a QR code on the menu that actually takes you to a website where they have the different cooking options for each protein that will set a timer individually for them, almost guaranteeing your food is cooked perfectly. My wife and I chose the Mojo option and it was certainly bursting with Mediterranean flavors, deliciously tangy and ending with a zing of lemony flavor.
I also want to give a shout out to our server, Alex, who was very knowledgeable about the different menu options along with the flavors imparted by not only the main entrée broth but also with the additional dipping sauces and was spot on with his suggestion of mixing the teriyaki and curry sauces to make a savory, flavorful pairing along with the tanginess of the Mojo broth.
We had also gotten the lobster along with our other protein and the tail end of the lobster meat appeared to be grey so we left it uneaten. Upon pointing it out to Alex and letting the staff know just in case something was wrong, Chad the GM came out afterwards and explained that it was a natural coloration of that part of the meat when exposed. Despite insisting that we were happy with the rest of it, Chad took the cost of the lobster off of our final bill to ensure us that he was taking our concerns seriously and he didn’t want us to pay for something we weren’t 100% satisfied with.
In short, this is the second time we’ve dined here and it certainly won’t be the last. The staff is wonderfully knowledgeable and accommodating, as well as understanding when it comes to health or dietary concerns. The price, while up there, leaves you with plenty to eat and you’ll certainly leave on a full stomach. Finally, if you’re celebrating any special occasion, they do a fantastic job in making you feel recognized be it a birthday, anniversary or any other event. You definitely won’t be disappointed if you spend your evening here

10/10 would recommend! Everything was absolutely delicious and Gage was the most amazing waiter I’ve ever had!! the owner was so super friendly and made sure we were well taken care of! I do think that maybe the prices were a little high but honestly with all the food you get it makes sense!! It was so beautiful and relaxing and I love the privacy you get in the booths. The experience over all was fantastic and super immersive and will definitely be going back! Oh and the food was to die for!

Made my first time experience absolutely wonderful. Was celebrating my daughters 15th birthday and actually forgot to get balloons but they had the perfect package for her came with balloons, roses, card, chocolate wafers and a picture was taken and out in a frame for us to keep!
