Omg!! This place was so cute. After dinner my daughter and I were walking to our car and ran across this place. We were surprised by the self-checkout/honor system. It was easy to shop and easy to pay. The cupcake was delicious too! We will definitely be back.

I have had one before so that is why there is a two star. What I had was good. I was delivered a coupon code for a free cupcake to be used on or before today (11-13). I decided I wanted to take advantage of that. I walked over a mile one way to use my code only to have it not work. The store is un-manned so there is no one to ask for help or to show it or anything. I tried every possible method to enter the code with nothing working. If you get a code for them, don’t count on it working. Definitely don’t walk to them. Possibly even consider just going on to another place where there is an employee that can help you when their technology is failing.
UPDATE TO OWNER RESPONSE: I realize you are being sarcastic or just a smartass. I saw the QR code. I scanned the QR code. The screen came up and the place to enter the coupon code came up. The code was 0GJ FAN. It would not accept that code in any manner I typed it. Upper case, lower case, nothing. Seems it would be better to respond to customer complaints with authentic and helpful responses rather than sarcastic and smartass remarks as if we the people are unable to figure the simple payment system out. Have the coupon codes work and matter resolved.

I heard about "The Cupcake Lady" from a friend, so I decided to gather a visit today. The owner pointed me to a specific cupcake based on my likes. It was a great cupcake. Moist and unlike other cupcakes I've had in past, not too sweet. Just right! Well done and congrats to the team.

Called here while in Wilmington and loved the Vanilla & Chocolate cupcake so much that I went back for more!
The cupcakes last insanely well too! I bought a few last Sunday (20/10) and had two left by the time I flew home to U.K. on 22/10 had one on 23/10 and one tonight (26/10) and both tasted just as fresh as when I got them, despite now being almost a week old and having been on 2 flights (one of which being an 8 hour flight).
Honestly can’t recommend this little cupcake shop enough!

I cannot even describe how good these cupcakes are, and I'm eating GF. I can only imagine how glorious the regular cupcakes are. Could you please open other stores; preferably in Texas?! So good!!!💕

The lack of customer service is astonishing. Picking cupcakes off a shelf and have no idea how long it’s been sitting there and if someone has messed with it is tragic. If you can’t staff the shop then don’t be open. It’s such a disappointment cause their cupcakes are good. But the sad clear solo cups they have to be in because of their hands off business model make it depressing. A gentleman that clearly works that walked in with his takeout lunch didn’t say hello or greet a single person that was in there, trying to figure out how to pay for these cupcakes that they had to bag themselves and just walk straight into the back. It’s clear that customer service is not, a priority to their business. I will never get cupcakes from here again

I tried this place 3 times. The owner says she uses real buttercream but does admit to using fake whipped topping. I’m guessing that is what gives the gross film on the roof of your mouth and ruins any other flavors of the cupcake. I think if she ditched the whipped topping it might be a better cupcake but that seems to make them taste gross and old.
I am not a bakery owner, just a discerning palate who appreciates good food and will happily point out and offer tips when it’s not!

I have tried these cupcakes several times but have been consistently disappointed with the quality of ingredients. They make their cupcakes and icing with hydrogenated shortening (2 molecules away from plastic fyi) so it’s not even real buttercream bc there is no butter involved. You will notice from the plastic aftertaste and film left in your mouth.
If that’s not a sufficient dose of chemicals, they top off their cheaply made cupcake and icing with fake hydrogenated whipped topping—not even real whipped cream! The only reason to even put a fake whipped topping on top is to hide what’s underneath and so they can leave them out indefinitely. These cupcakes are not fresh or tasty but they look pretty.
Since they’re not spending money on labor to man the store, you’d think they could pay for quality ingredients!
All that being said, it’s a cute store…literally the only nice thing I can say about it.

Tabitha's creations are bursting with flavor, sweetness and all a cupcake lover could ask for. And I am a cupcake lover. The decor inside this wonderful store reflects the owner and chef herself. Unique, tasteful, and warm. A perfect fit for the ambiance of downtown Wilmington. Definitely interesting going to pick up food and having no one there. Convenient but lacks some personal touch. Especially since they don’t always have what the signs are left out saying. Lots of trust for the downtown area. You’re on camera while you shop what is available from their menu. Liked how the cupcakes came but they are just more than a taste of cake. Left me wanting more. The store smells like mold but the decoration was classy old time.

If you are in downtown Wilmington this shop is a MUST!! BEST cupcakes I have ever tasted! Bought 2 dozen of mixed flavors and GF chocolate and strawberry and ALL were delicious! They were on the dessert table for my niece’s bridal shower and everyone loved them! Couldn’t even tell the GF were GF! Moist and full of flavor! I don’t know what her secret is but she definitely has one!
