We enjoy coming here for a beer and game of pool. The bartender is always very attentive and friendly. They have good music. Very locals vibe.

The Rusty Nail is one great spot to be in Wilmington NC. The staff and patrons are the friendliest around and the live music on Tuesday night nights and weekends ranks among the best blues I have ever seen and heard anywhere! In fact my wife and I are on our way there now, on Thanksgiving , for tonight’s Thanksgiving pot luck dinner. It will be a great time for those who don’t have local family, can’t travel or just want to have some holiday fun. No kidding, the Rusty Nail is a definite good time!

Recommended dishes: Cover Dish on Sundays, food served after 4, usually with great music from the Rhythm Bones and other talented musicians.

This is one of my favorite bars in Wilmington. Great laid back vibe and on Tuesday's Blues Jam, the music and people are amazing.

Blues Jam on Tuesday night is not welcoming. No one helped us or even cared. They were closed off and pretty much said the sign up "list" for musicians were full. Mind you, it was just random names on the board. Turned us away. Save yourself the trip and find more welcoming open mics elsewhere!

Dive bar with great music scene! Very cool outdoor space for meeting up with friends for a drink. No food served. Check out Tuesday Blues nights for excellent, open mic, sponsored by local blues society. Play the blues? Bring your instrument and sign up on the chalk board to jam with a variety of talented jazz musicians! Blues fan? This is a treat you don't want to miss!

Fun and good times! We think there is going to be a jazzy group Wednesday which means it sounds good to us.Definitely going.

The house of blues in Wilmington N.C. Great environment, friendly and the best music! Jim is the best host! Definitely will come back

Fun blues jam on Tuesday nights, often with some real talent way above typical blues jams. Superb staff, inexpensive drinks, friendly crowd. Great pot luck on Sunday afternoons and the regular band for that, the Rhythm Bones, are incredibly good, playing blues, soul, & rock 'n roll. Some videos I've seen posted here are poor examples of the music. Hopefully, someone has posted better ones more recently!

Fun place to see live music. Good cocktails and beer menu. Street parking.
