It was delicious! It is a busy saturday night and they were short staffed but the service was still great. It didn’t take long for the food to come out but they offered a banana pudding for our wait which we appreciated. We will definitely be back!

Figured I’d write a review after my third stop at The Smoke House at Monkey Junction in Wilmington, and it's easily some of the best BBQ I've tried after traveling far and wide. The brisket was tender, the pulled pork was flavorful, and the Alabama white sauce was spot-on-creamy with a nice tang. The green beans were fresh, the hush puppies were crispy with great cinnamon butter, and the sides held their own. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly, and everything just clicked.

Great BBQ! The brisket was moist, great flavor , bark was great, smoke ring, all that. Felt like I was back in Texas! The pulled pork was great Eastern NC pulled pork. Buffalo Chips and hush puppies are nice side options. 5 stars! Will be back.
First time here. I saw they were doing a special this month: pulled pork sandwich, a side and a drink for $5!!
First, walking in, the space is open and clean. There is a large menu on the back wall. Service was fast and friendly. The people working were all very nice and seemed happy to be working there. Along the back wall there is also a line up of bbq sauces, some pickles, jalapeños and onions to add to your sandwich and then the drink station. Above the bbq sauce is a great description of each type of sauce they have. For my side I ordered the Mac and cheese and got a sweet tea for my drink. The food came out very fast. I chose the sweet bbq sauce and apparently didn’t snap the lid on all the way because when I opened my bag after throwing my sauce in there there was sauce everywhere! So make sure to snap on those lids! That was my fault tho.
Now for the food. The sandwich was piled high with pulled pork. I didn’t get to put on as much bbq sauce as I would have liked because most of it was in the bottom of the bag but from the little bit left in my container it was a very good sauce and went well with the pork. I did think the pork was a little dry but the flavors were great and I added coleslaw to it so that gave it a little crunch. I wasn’t a fan of the Mac and cheese at all. If I was to stop here again I’d go with something else, probably the hush puppies. The Mac and cheese was more like a cheese soup with noodles. It was so liquidy. It just wasn’t the kind of Mac and cheese I like. Maybe some people like it like this. It’s just not for me. I ended up throwing it out after a couple bites. The sweet tea was on point! Definitely the right amount of sugar.
I’d come here again for sure to try a few other items.

Worst ribs I’ve ever had, white rubbery things in every bite, super slimy, the meats were super cold but the sides were so hot I couldn’t eat them for 15 min. Too expensive. We did go around 630 so maybe it was a bad time

The people working here are really cool and friendly, place is busy at lunch time and Is the best tasting for the price. Highly recommend to couples and family’s.

5/5 all around! The servers are extremely nice, the food is delicious, and the restaurant is clean. In addition to the meats, the French fries and banana pudding are a must try!!

I don't know where to begin, but the service was incredible. I absolutely loved everything I ate and the sweet tea was perfect. They have a hundred percent sanitation rating, which I don't know if i've ever seen, and the whole restaurant was spotless, or you can tell that they take extreme pride with what they do. Absolutely blown away
