Visited tonight with my daughter. I had the Teriyaki Chicken & Beef. The meats were both tender, juicy, and plentiful. They were served over half a plate of fried rice, half vegetables. They asked if I wanted more teriyaki sauce when I picked up my plate. The correct answer that I got correct is yes. White sauce is extra. The two of us ate with a drink for $38. The atmosphere is a little dated, but the sound level was tolerable. I would return for a second visit.

We love getting the Chicken Teriyaki here! Probably come at least 2-3 times per month for takeout... I find that one plate is enough for 2 meals for me.

The only thing that tasted good was the beggar rice and the food didn't taste very good. You can't order the vegetables separately and it doesn't have zucchini or onion and the food tastes more like Chinese food than hibachi. The dishes are very expensive for me. I better recommend Hibachi Bistro in Carolina Beach. There is this one cheaper and it has children's dishes for $8-$10 dollars and the flavor does taste like hibachi.

Very poor service. Waited ten minutes for my pick up order. Almost no communication. I understand their native language isn’t English, but in this city you need to be able to. When I asked how long the order would be, they looked at me like I was from another planet.

I have been here more than a few times prior today, but will not be returning. Today my chicken teriyaki plate was cold. Broccoli was cold to touch and chicken was not even Luke warm. We brought the plate up to the cook to let them and they said “it’s cold because you have white sauce on the food”. But the broccoli, chicken and rice were definitely COLD. (Which is so different than every other time I have been. Usually everything is sizzling hot and steaming) They take the chicken off the plate throw it on the grill for 5 seconds and put it back on my plate… I begin tempting to eat, again. Until a hair is sitting under the chicken with the veggies. Brought it back up to ask them if they could re make it. No sorry or anything, no sympathy. The male cook who had clearly made suggestive eye contact with me too much already, was smiling as my boyfriend showed the cashier and him the plate. All that was said “you want money back? Cash fine?”…

The Teriyaki Plate has quickly become my go-to spot for a satisfying meal. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality from the friendly staff. Their welcoming smiles set the tone for a delightful dining experience.

Let's talk about the food - it's simply delicious. My personal favorite is the teriyaki beef served with perfectly cooked fried rice and vegetables. And let's not forget those two heavenly white sauces that add an extra layer of flavor to every bite. The quality and consistency of the dishes keep me coming back for more.

One thing I love about The Teriyaki Plate is their loyalty program. With each visit, they stamp your business card, and after a few visits, you're rewarded with a free chicken teriyaki entree. It's a thoughtful gesture that keeps customers like me feeling appreciated and coming back for more.

Another highlight is their Coke fountain machine, which boasts my favorite soda, Pibb Xtra. It's a rare find in other establishments around town, and it's a small detail that adds to the overall charm of this place.

Whether it's lunch or dinner, The Teriyaki Plate excels in prompt service without compromising on quality. The kitchen works like a well-oiled machine, ensuring that your food is served promptly without sacrificing taste or freshness.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Teriyaki Plate to anyone craving delicious Asian cuisine served with a side of hospitality. With their friendly staff, delectable dishes, and thoughtful perks, it's a dining experience that consistently exceeds expectations. Five stars all the way!

Everything is super salty, like you’d expect from a mall food court, followed by raging heartburn. The cashier was super nice, but one of the cooks about broke his neck trying to make suggestive eye contact. Overall, no thanks!
