An old school minority-owned restaurant named in memoriam of Truck, staffed with the sweetest women that serve the best fried okra and mac 'n cheese. A rare establishment that still honors patrons with the courtesy titles of Honey and Baby...
Best southern home cooking I’ve had in a loooong time!! Thank you for your hospitality Ramona! We’ll be back.
Chaaannnge that grease chicken was horrible
That grease hasn’t been change since last year eeeeww
Mac&cheese was dry asf I honestly threw my food away I’m not trying to bash yall business but I’m not bout to sugarcoat how I feel especially when I’m spending my money with yall … ion want a refund or anything but I swear I’m not stepping foot in yall establishment again ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾
Food wasn't fresh. Mac and cheese was hard! Old tasting fish!
The people are so lovely and kind. We stop by there about once a week to get some food. They have the best burgers in town and the crispy is chicken tenders. Look nowhere else if you’re looking for a good southern food.
I truly enjoy eating at this establishment. The food is hands down some of the best Southern style chicken and fish in the city. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was of Sunday’s family style dinner on a Thursday night. Love it
I pop in or order online from time to time when the southern cravings hit and I just don't feel like cooking. In those moments I am looking for something similar to what one of my grandmothers from NC may have made. The food from Truck's makes the mark. One of my favorite times was when they unexpectedly had smothered chicken on the menu. I hadn't had that since I was a child and it was done well. When I go in person, I am always treated kindly and it is a comfortable place to be. I enjoy studying their history through the memories on the wall as well. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a solid soulful meal.
Best southern cooking i have had in Wilmington my only regret is I didn't find it sooner. The best service I've had in a restaurant in Wilmington period. Puts "5 star restaurant service to shame" the fried chicken took me straight back to my childhood I could hear my mammy telling me to clean my plate and do my chores. Can't say it enough "thank you Ms Mona" amazing all the way around!

There were 6 of us. We ordered a combo of about 8 different dishes and even ordered a half a pan of cornbread to go. Absolutely the most delicious soul food we have ever had. Cornbread and catfish were melt in your mouth delicious. Not fancy but owners were so friendly it was like being in the home of family. Our total bill came to $120. WHAT?? YUP! GO you’ll be so glad you did.
Parking: Plenty street parking
Wheelchair accessibility: No steps entrance on the street level. Bathroom is very small not sure a wheelchair could get in.

It was closed due to a funeral . Hate I missed the meal
I had the fried chicken sandwich and the dirty rice, both AWESOME! Best fried chicken I’ve had since coming to Wilmington and some of the best dirty rice I’ve ever had! Breading on the chicken was flavorful and spiced perfectly but not too thick. Definitely worth the stop!

A nice dining experience. Jessica was an excellent & friendly waitress. The food was good, we had fish dinner, with okra, cornbread, potatoe salad, side salad and tea.
