Uncle Louie's Pizza Lounge

I seemed to have been here at an unusually busy time? Food-wise there are good ingredients being used on the burger and the cook does a good job of preparing BUT they’re missing a good expo to run food and make sure the ticket matches the order. I was missing a sauce and saw the cook running food numerous times to tables. Seems like they need an upgrade at manager. Anyway, I’ve heard poor reviews about the pizza so I tried it myself. This is not an award winning recipe by any means but the slices are huge. Perfect if you need a vehicle to get toppings ingested but I would not recommend plain as it truly is not impressive at all. Decent spot for watching sports at the bar. Seems like a place that caters to local regulars more than passers by. The ginger bartender girl was awesome and handled a lot going on at once. She seemed to be the only glue holding it together in the front of the house. With little competition they’ll make it but it wouldn’t hurt to polish up the operation a bit.

Uncle Louie’s was pretty good!! Their fried foods were really good- we got calamari and chicken tenders! I hear their fried ravioli is really good but we didn’t get that. I had a salad and it was pretty good. The pizza was okay. And my son liked the club sandwich. They have a FULL bar and I think it’s probably more of a bar than a restaurant.

Pizza was very good, with the exception of the crust.
My wife said it tasted like cardboard. I think it was very tough but ok.

We had a party of 11, so we definitely gave some leeway for that. They were super nice and accommodating!
We definitely had some issues, that were blamed on the kitchen.
Two of us had to reorder because we were told the shrimp was fresh, but then the shrimp had to be thawed out.

My roomie didn't receive his salad and we had to ask twice for it.

I didn't receive garlic bread that comes with the meal and had to ask for it. (Wish I hadn't.)

I never received my cheese sticks and we had to ask for them to be taken off the bill because we WERE charged for them.

There were other small things, like taking a while to get refills, but we did have a large party.

I changed my order from shrimp scampi to baked ravioli. It wasn't great, seemed like the ravioli were frozen also, but it was edible.
The garlic bread was so bland, mean Bland. You could see there was butter on it, but couldn't taste it. I also couldn't taste any garlic or salt. I added garlic powder that was on the table, but that didn't help. Maybe the garlic powder is old and lost its flavor? I don't know, but this bread turned me off so much, I wasn't really interested in eating anymore.
Luckily, the salad I had was very good.

Some friends we were with really like this place, so we'll give it another try.

Really nice place. We enjoyed a medium pizza (dough was fresh and not too thin, sauce was flavorful, cheese was chewy and delicious), fries, sweet tea and a water all for about $20. Looking forward to trying a dinner next time.

This is a must stop when in the Cape fear community college area. Always a lunch special, In-N-Out quick for less than 10 bucks. Can't beat it pizza is great.
