The best icecream in Wilmington! I love how there are gluten free and vegan options. Something I do want to mention is that there is potential risk of cross contamination. I realized that not every icecream has its own scooper. When I came in the lady asked me if I wanted a clean scooper for my icecream which I said no but I felt like it wouldn't have mattered if I were to say yes or no because it probably was contaminated prior. So she used the same scooper that she got my boyfriends not gluten free icecream to get my gluten free icecream. I personally am not allergic to gluten so it is by preference but warning anyone that actually has an allergy or that is vegan since the business comes off as allergy friendly to me at least.

Looking for the best ice cream in Wilmington? You’ve got to try Wandering Cone! They offer a great selection of ice cream flavors made with choice ingredients that don’t sacrifice on flavor, consistency, or creaminess. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and have the patience to let you taste test whichever flavors you’re interested in. I love that they also sell ice cream pints to-go so my wife and I can continue to enjoy their ice cream when we cant make it out. I’d put this ice cream up against any other ice cream shops in the country. You won’t be disappointed at Wandering Cone.
Didn't take any pictures, b/c everyone started eating ice cream right away! Absolutely delicious - all the flavors we tried within our party of 6. And a nice surprise that they have Gluten-Free cones. I don't even remember last time I got to eat ice cream with a cone 😋 🍦 And the staff was very friendly and welcoming!

I seriously never write reviews, but Wandering Cone 100% earned this one. I just had the carrot cake ice cream on one of their homemade waffle cones, and I swear it was the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Like… actually life-changing.
The ice cream was insanely creamy, with real chunks of carrot cake folded in, and the cone was warm and fresh and honestly kind of perfect. You can tell everything is made with care—it doesn’t taste mass-produced or overly sweet, just really good.
If you’re anywhere near Wilmington and considering getting ice cream, go here. I’m not kidding. I’m genuinely praying this pops up when someone is debating where to go because Wandering Cone deserves all the love.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming! They had gluten free waffle cones and waffle bowls.. they had a variety of flavors, and also offered some dairy free choices. They even changed their gloves for me without having to ask! Plus the ice cream is incredible!!!!
