I had the maple bourbon salmon which was absolutly amazing. The sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts were a perfect compliment to the meal. We were on our way back to PA or it would be a restaurant that we would go to regularly.

My husband and I decided on Jack’s when heading home from Raleigh. It was a last minute decision but a tasty surprise. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, nothing fancy and that’s ok. They brought out waters and bread with strawberry butter almost immediately after we were seated. My husband had the French onion soup to start and I had the side salad. He ordered the prime rib with risotto and Brussel sprouts and I got the ribeye with roasted sweet potato and Brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious! The steaks were seasoned well and cooked perfectly and those Brussel sprouts were amazing! We would definitely eat at Jack’s again.

Presentation=OK, Service=Great, Food=Almost the worst I’ve ever had at a restaurant!!!! Red potatoes—too seasoned/burnt Hamburger steak—dry/burnt (crispy on the outside) Brussels sprouts—crispy on outside, raw on inside Jacks Restaurant in Wilson gets a double thumbs down…👎 👎

Disappointed! Caesar salad was over dressed and soggy croutons were hard as rocks. The shrimp and grits was soupy and lukewarm. Calamari was not crispy and was chewy. Overall not a good experience.

I wish I could give them a minus one star. We sat at the bar and order drinks and dinner and the staff was prepping for a week of closing by moving all on the tables and chairs out of the dinner area we were a for our dinner to be severed. it was very uncomfortable. left without eat our meal. totally unprofessional.

OMG...probably some of the worse food we have had in a long time. We had not been here since the new owners took it over from the last owners who failed with it. This is one of those places that people will go and not say anything as this is an "institution" in Wilson. I had the chicken breast which used to be dipped in a buttermilk coating. Now it is who knows what but it had no taste and was hard. The risotto was large grained white rice with no flavor. Risotto's can have such good flavor normally and Jac's did it well. Jack's does not! The onion strings were old and 90% breading. The hamburger steak was bland without the gravy and toppings. The asparagus needed seasoning. The Caesar salad was just OK and the bread and butter were good. A real disappointment and way too expensive for what you get. This is an honest review and not just someone trying to be nice and not hurt their feelings.

Found this place on Google tonight and decided to order to-go. It was delicious. Can’t wait to dine in. Looks like a really cute place!

Food was delicious but we were a bit disappointed in some aspects of service compared to previous visits. Not sure if staffing was lower than expected but we waited a few minutes to be greeted and got our cutlery and bread delivered well after being seated.
I would still recommend this place for dinner but maybe not for a special celebration.

Wow
This place seemed out of the way on a back street and we had to cross railroad tracks…..

The place was was neat as a pin inside and out on a Tuesday night the place was sort of busy…..

We had a heritage bone in grilled pork chop which was grilled perfect served with a choice of many sides of which we sampled
Mushroom risotto, garlic mashed, green beans , creamed spinach all amazing and fresh and added a Cabernet mushroom sauce and a cheese sauce that was spot on….

The bartender manager busier server was doing everything he could he was a star and I wish I could remember his name but he hustled the whole time and was the glue that made our experience come together.!!

Interesting menu that allows customers to build their meal with choices of main protein, accompanying sauces, and two sides. Enjoyed the ahi tuna, risotto, brussel sprouts, pork, garlic mashed potatoes, and Gouda cheese sauce. Helpful servers.
