Panera Bread is supposed to be about warmth, efficiency, and quality—a seamless experience whether you’re grabbing a coffee or settling in for a meal. But at the Wilson, North Carolina location, that experience is anything but seamless.
The food? It’s fine. The coffee? It does the job. But the drive-thru? A masterclass in inefficiency. I shouldn’t have to put my car in park and write a Google review while I’m in the drive-thru. That alone tells you everything you need to know.
If this location wants to meet the standard the brand aspires to, it needs a serious upgrade—starting with a drive-thru that actually functions smoothly and adding curbside pickup to keep things moving. Some places understand the value of a customer’s time. This one doesn’t.
The Panera in Wilson is my first choice for vegetarian option. Great place to catch up with friends over Tea, Sandwiches and warm soup. Love their squash soup and Mediterranean veg sandwich and the chill atmosphere.

I order online I got everything except my chips and i didn’t get any napkins I love Panera this is the second time ordering online and my first order was perfect but the second I’m just so mad with this people. They need check twice before they send the order.

GPS could not find this location it took is on a goose chase. The store is not lit up from outside to prominently display the name. The service was friendly and reasonably fast. The food tasted good except the unsweetened tea!! That didn't ask what sides I wanted and chose for me potato chips. We wanted fruit cups if they had asked I would have mentioned. The most important thing is we both got sick after eating.

After standing for a while waiting for your order to be taken, just leave. Don't waste your time here. I should have known from the previous 1 star reviews they have. I don't mind if I have to wait in line and understand when a cashier or employees are busy handling other things. But not when they're just chilling and talking about drama going on while you are there waiting to order. Even though I just drove out of the way to get here, not giving this crew my money or tip

Employees working the counter are very nice. Some of the people preparing the food look realy out there. The food is typical.

Food quality has been very poor and accuracy has gone out the window. More than 50% of the time my order is wrong or missing ingredients. One sandwich I modified I changed the bread, added onions and mayo but not one customization was done. They just gave it to me the way it comes. I get salads with chicken but then there’s no chicken on it. The salad I ordered today didn’t have bacon which comes with it. Sometimes the easiest mess ups that I can get over is an incorrect side. I once got an apple that was rotting on the side.
My advice if you order from here is check your order. I mean open your sandwich and make sure everything is on there. Salads make sure you got your chicken and dressing. Really dig before you leave because there’s a high chance it’s not right. You’ll end up with a $13 salad that’s just lettuce tomato and ranch.
Update. I think at this point it's deliberate. Since my review 100% of my orders have been messed up. Fuji salad with chicken? No chicken and no apples slices. Yesterday 3 pack of macarons. Modified to not get any chocolate ones. All 3 were chocolate. This morning I wanted a bagel sliced but I knew if I chose sliced they would slice and toast. So I left it plain. Just whole unsliced untoasted so I could have it tomorrow for breakfast. Sure enough they sliced and toasted it. This sandwich had one THICK piece of bread and then a normal slice on the other side. They put that together and thought yeah that's good quality sandwich right there. It was weird to eat.
I've talked to 2 different managers and nothing changes. There’s no way you get every single order incorrect so at this point, I’m feeling targeted. Only reason I'm still coming here is i have a gift card. Once that's gone I'll never ever come back to this location.

Ehhh, not enough staff, stopped going when they took away the cups from the lobby. Cancelled the Sip Club because I couldnt get a cup and go.

Went through the drive -thru had to wait 13 minutes for a sandwich. Drive thru windows person was rude when I had to blow my horn to get her attention after sitting there for 10 minutes.
