Punta Cana Restaurant & Bar

My husband was very excited to try this place, but it did not live up to it's hype. We have been to the Dominican Republic many times and was hoping to find something close. Dominican food can be very good.
We ordered the steak and onions, Sancocho, and chicken with rice and beans. The steak and onions was very weird. It had a maybe vinegary taste. I'm not sure, but I didn't like it at all. I returned it and got a churrasco steak. The churrasco steak was better. It was cooked and seasoned better. The plantains were cooked well. The chimichurri sauce was good too. My husband chicken was not warmed. It was cold to the touch. They cooked it again, but he said it wasn't great. It didn't have good flavor, neither did the beans.
If you go here get the Sancocho. That was delicious. Very flavorful and worth the time and money. Their juice drinks were refreshing and delicious!
Our server was very nice and understanding. She got our food quickly and they discounted our bill.
They do act like it's DR and charge a fee for parties over two or more. It says you can dispute it with the manager.
Maybe we would go back from the Sancocho, but most likely, we wouldn't go back.

This place was delicious! We got the ox tail, skirt steak, Modoroes, tres leches and everything was so good. We will definitely be coming back.

Question do anyone know why it’s close? I love that place the first time I went and I was craving more than I see it’s close!!!

Second time I come to this restaurant, it says open and it's closed.

It was pricey. Our food wasn’t even like warm and food didn’t taste good. The waitress was very nice and quiet atmosphere. Well music in the background.

The food some was good very flavorful, but others like the mofongo didn't have salt or garlic which is basic for a mofongo, the server was nice but you felt the vibes that he didn't want to be there, and they barely had any drinks. Food was expensive compared to other Dominican places I have been to.

I was excited to finally have a Latin restaurant in the area. Unfortunately this would be my first and last time. I ordered take out, ox tails with rice and peas and the marinated steak with rice and peas , 1 empanada and a lemonade totalling a little over $50. I was extremely disappointed in the portion size I got 2 pieces of oxtail and 2 little pieces literally the size of a quarter. When you spend your hard earned money you you want to be satisfied whether dinning in or out. I was not pleased. However the young man who took my order was very pleasant and helpful.

We enjoyed this greatly. Rich flavors, excellent service and suggestions by waitress. Will be back again.

My family had a fantastic dinner here and highly recommend, especially if you're looking for something different. We enjoyed the two shareable platters. We had hoped for take home, but we enjoyed so much, we didn't have any. For sure, we will be back. Great service, tasty food and reasonably priced.
