I have to say I have lived in Wilson most of my life and this is the first time I have eaten at Ray's..It won't be my last..my wife and I decided to try somewhere different this morning and came to Ray's..I had a tenderloin cheese biscuit and my wife has a tenderloin and mustard biscuit..the biscuits were a little thin but they were excellent..these are not the "cathead" biscuits everyone talks about from Flo's..that being said these biscuits were...
This place is one of the sweetest pieces of Americana you can hope to fall into. The food was lovely, the staff paid attention, several of them are bilingual and speak Spanish as well. I see why this is a well-loved place to get lunch.
Just tried Ray's for lunch today while visiting Wilson...let me tell ya, hands down delicious food. The meatloaf was amazing and those mashed potatoes and gravy hit the spot. Coleslaw was perfect. Great hidden gem in this town. service was fast and super friendly. can't wait to go back. Keep up the good work. Very cheap prices and very large portions.
