I’ve came here a while ago and service was way better than it was on today. It took a long time for our food to come out,no refills on the drinks,lunch specials weren’t mentioned when it was time for us to order and when we tried to get the lunch special we were told that our food was already being made which was a false statement because it still took us about 50 minutes afterwards to get our food. Tables that came in after us were served before us which was very rude when the food came it was not hot it was lukewarm. Food comes from the other side of the actual restaurant there were double charges on one of our receipts and we were told “that’s how the system does it” there’s one person running pretty much everything. He’s working the bar, handling orders,bringing out food etc. If you’re looking to eat in a timely manner and get good customer service this may not be the best place for that. Food is overly priced for the small portions that are served as well.

I am extremely disappointed in the service at this otherwise excellent restaurant. I’ve been to R&R four times, but only ate there twice. On the other two occasions the kitchen was incapable of preparing food in a reasonable amount of time. The restaurant was not especially busy on either occasion. The first time was at lunchtime on a weekday. The restaurant wasn’t even half full, but the hostess apologized and informed us the kitchen was taking about 45 minutes to get food out. The second time was at dinner on a Saturday, when there was a big jazz festival going on. Again the restaurant was only about half full. The hostess told the people ahead of us the kitchen was taking about an hour. We were prepared to order drinks and wait … but then she ignored us and never greeted us or offered to seat us despite ample available tables inside and outside. After several minutes we left.
Ruckus and Redemption was my new favorite place in Wilson, but now I’m not sure I’ll ever go back there again.
Also - get some merchandise. My wife wanted to buy a T shirt but there aren’t any for sale in the restaurant. We were told there is an online store but it doesn’t exist.

This was a great place to have lunch in Wilson, just a block away from the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park. The food was the best part here, whoever is cooking in the kitchen knows how to make tasty food! I had the fried brussel sprouts and the buffalo chicken sandwich, I can say I would have both again. My friend is a vegetarian and there were great vegetarian options on the menu. The dining area is clean and spartan. I personally am not a fan of metal chairs with the A/C cranking. My party was a little chilly after, but it was a nice respite from the summer heat! I would totally eat here again and recommend to anyone looking for a nice lunch.
