Salty Shores Calabash Style Seafood

Every month and average of twenty to twenty-five Ole retired prison staff get together and eat somewhere different every month. My review will be based off opinions of tweny people eating at this location on July 25, 2025. Overall the food was great, only complaints I heard was the pork chops were dry and tough and the baked white potatoes were not done. The male waiter was excellent to handle twenty people. It took longer for him to take our orders than it took to cook it which was very impressive with crowd of customer's they had. The reason I gave a three star on atmosphere was not the business fault it was because some of the ignorant customer's kept staring at us and we were located behind the short wall. We really enjoyed the camaraderie and friendship after working together for over thirty and not allow anyone spoil our luncheons but be aware we will also have each other backs!!

Quiet atmosphere, delicious food, abundant sizes of small, large, or senior. Just wish our server had told us about the Thursday-only offer of shrimp and grits! Go early during the weekend when they are busiest!

I have REALLY missed a locally owned seafood restaurant! Got the small trout with potato salad and side salad. I got 2 big pieces of trout. Breading was great and fried perfect! Side salad and potato salad was great! Real good sweet tea. Our waitress was nice and polite. Looked after us well. Check out cashier's were real nice. Very good experience and we will go back!

The food was wonderful. The 25-minute wait bothered us when you saw 1 or 2 people sitting at several tables for 6 or 8. They had plenty of room to separate those tables. Put them together as needed.

The food is excellent! Everyone's food was cooked to perfection and tasted great! The prices are reasonable and our waiter was very attentive. I will put their food up against any seafood restaurant up and down the east coast beaches or inland. Simply fantastic.
