My son and I visited for the first time today. The lunch buffet was great and had lots of classic comfort items. The chicken and pastry and hambersteak and gravy were the stars for us 🥰

I have visit this restaurant multiple occasions. Southern Food always good and the portions are right on time. I would say my only objection is the hush puppies,they are always very greasy, I can not eat them. Hope they get them right one day.
Otherwise I would recommend all other food choices.

Sylvia’s has consistently good food. We had a family reunion at Sylvia’s and everyone enjoyed it! We still use Sylvia’s to cater our family events and have never been disappointed.

I am so disappointed. I got bbq turkey wings macroni and cheese and cabbage. It was the worst food today. Cabbage was burnt tasting,and everything else tastes like water. And now I feel sick and my "stomach bubbling". What happened Sylvia. This is not what im used to with you all. Close for a week and start over. Something is not right. This has been going on for a few months where the food is off. Lets fix this so we can go back to real home cooking.

Sylvia's 🚫 NEVER 🚫 disappoints!!
It gives the vibe of a southern church basement, where they feed you after the Usher's Anniversary program...LoL!
The food is "regular" everyday food, made with an old soul flair.
They are to me, one of "THE" best 🏆 places to get take-out
And they have also opened a second restaurant. So, now if you can't get to the "home" store, you have a second option, that is equally as good! 👍🏽
And as an extra, the new second location serves breakfast.
There is a whole lot more I can say about "Sylvia's", but what I will end this review in saying, try it- - you can thank me later 😉

Vegetarian options: For those that don't eat meat, they do offer a variety of vegetables that ofter come as sides, but can easily be supplemented for the meat replacement.

Parking: The parking lot is small, similar to an old country church parking lot. What they lack in parking, they definitely make up in taste!

However, the lack of a bed does not diminish the amazing food that is served at this restaurant. The flavors are so incredible that I wish I could eat it all in one sitting. I am even planning on taking some back with me to Virginia so I can enjoy it again and again. I cannot wait to come back and dine at this restaurant again.🤎
