1703 Restaurant & Catering

One of my wife and my favorite places to eat in Winston Salem. I've never had anything on the menu that wasn't excellent. The wine list is also great, as is the service and atmosphere. Highly recommended for a nice dinner date.

This was my first visit to 1703 and it exceeded my expectations. The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding. Our waitress, Susan, was incredible and she made the entire experience just perfect! I would highly recommend!

We had our wedding reception here. It was fabulous. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. We had a lunch reception on a Saturday and the restaurant took care of all of the decorations. All we had to do was pick out the menu and show up.
In addition to the indoor seating the restaurant has an outdoor covered seating area. The plan was to use one area for hors d'oeuvres and the other for lunch and the restaurant would be able to choose which was best suited for which based on the weather that day. We ended up having lunch outdoors and it felt like a lovely picnic.
Our guests were talking for months about how the reception was a nice relaxing lunch that allowed people time to visit with each other as the service was so seamless that it never interfered with socialization.
The staff always kept an eye on my wife and I to make sure that we had anything we needed. She and I actually were able to sit down and have a full meal during the reception while still visiting with everyone!

It’s a cute venue, but barring the waitress at our table, the staff seemed less than enthusiastic about our presence. We got there close to opening (after opening time) so maybe that impacted it but we got the impression we weren’t really welcome. The food was adequate but not something I’m dying to have again. We had a lovely time as a group but the restaurant won’t be on my repeat list.

The food was great the service was awesome I will be going back again this was my 17 anniversary that I will not forget.

Overall not a fan. Small portions, taste was okay, service was mediocre. We generally don’t mind a higher price for good food but in this case, the cost is not justified. A member of our party had a fly in the bottom of their soup and notified our server with no resolution other than “that’s gross”. Their soup stayed on the bill. Others may have better experiences here but we will not be back.

What a hidden gem! 1703 has become my favorite restaurant in all of Winston Salem. It’s the perfect destination for special events and romantic meals.

Easter Sunday with my family. An interracial table featured t shirts with Hell Written on back. Hell Stars. My dad hurt his hand and started blended afterwords. This is now an illegal form of payment.

1703 has always been a family favorite of ours. We love the atmosphere and the food is always amazing.

I didn't think the food was all that good. We were at a table an we were sharing a bench with two other tables an we couldn't even hear each other talk. The waitress was nice. It just wasn't for me.

Drinks and atmosphere were nice. Food portions were significantly underwhelming for the price and I left wanting more food. I ordered a Salmon dish and it was prepared and presented well. There’s a fine line between being attentive and being rushed. Place was nowhere near full(I see why with cost vs portion) and felt rushed to order and finish. I checked available reservations for remainder of night and plenty were available so not sure why being rushed. If the menus are still sitting in the same place when you set them down…we haven’t looked at them yet.
