Ackingna's Place is a highly acclaimed restaurant known for its delectable dishes. The food is consistently praised as absolutely delicious, with well-seasoned vegetables and tender, plentiful turkey necks. The friendly and accommodating staff go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food at Ackingna's Place is always exceptional, making it a hidden gem worth visiting.
It is especially famous for its old-fashioned walk-up concept, where food offerings are displayed behind a glass window for customers to choose from. The menu includes favorites like fried chicken, stewed okra and tomatoes, rice and pinto beans with hot sauce, and county style steak. The cornbread is made the old-fashioned way and is very tasty, while the lemon pound cake is considered better than anything else outside of a home setting. The restaurant also offers options that can be vegan, as vegetables are not seasoned with meat. Visitors recommend bringing cash, as cards are not accepted, but the food is well worth the trip. Many have driven long distances from nearby cities to enjoy the consistently good food and friendly atmosphere at Ackingna's Place.
