This is a lovely place to grab a coffee, do some work etc, in a great location. However their Wi-Fi is often nonfunctional (given they seem to use the public Wi-Fi nearby and not their own) and there are often no pastries at all (due to delivery problems?). Dealing with those things would massively improve the experience.

I love this place! They always know just what I want. It’s the only coffee shop in Winston I’ll go to.

Great place to get sandwiches on weekdays! My two favorites are the grilled cheese and the caprese.
My partner and I often get their coffee beans and grind them at home and we love it. Major shout out to our favorite barista Carlos, he has made visiting Anchor our favorite mid day walk stop. *I also recommend the cold brew!!!*
I wish the space had a warmer atmosphere, it can feel a little cold with all the metal seating. They have beautiful windows and tall ceilings, I wish it was more filled with green lively plants!!
Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian sandwich options and all the coffee is vegetarian!
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp from the Bailey Park side that is wheelchair accessible. The tables inside are also wheelchair friendly.

Service was terrible. You better know what you're ordering and don't ask questions because you'll just end up feeling stupid. But it was the best coffee I've had in a while. So that made it better. But price considered, I probably won't be back
Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly.

I love anchor and have been going for quite some time. Unfortunately, I had the worst experience today that I am left in disbelief and hesitant to ever return again.
The female employee working around 12:13pm this afternoon was one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. I had ordered a coffee for here but wish I had ordered it to go. I was confused as to why she slammed down my drink and said “heres your coffee”. No eye contact , smile or have a good day. Couldn't ask a question as I was ignored…Spoke with another customer who was also irritated with their interaction with her. I had to ask because I didn’t know if it was just me or what. I wasn't the only one feeling uncomfortable. I feel that I could continue to go into more detail about other things that were concerning about this visit. All pertaining to the same individual but I’ll leave it at this. When I went to the review page I realized I wasn't the only one.. Several others state a bad experience with a female employee not being “friendly” . I really hope that this can be addressed so no one else has to ever feel uncomfortable or feel like they cant return.

We were downtown and I wanted to try this coffee place! This place is so cool! Caleb and Justin are very friendly and helpful! I loved their energy! I ordered the Raspberry French toast. I asked Caleb how he would have this drink. (Hot or iced) He suggested iced and that's what I had. It was delicious and perfect for a warm Sunday! Looking forward to coming back!

The girl working at the register was not particularly friendly. The coffee pour over tasted pretty good, but the everything bagel was very dry and hard as a rock. Overall a very mediocre experience.

Cortado was pretty great. Pretty expensive though and the cashier was a little unfriendly.
Wow! Arguably the best coffee I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is so neat! Very industrial, neat location. Would highly recommend the iced blueberry pancakes coffee! It’s right across the street from Bailey Park, so you can take your coffee and enjoy the park.
