Usually take our family each time we come up from Fl. Disappointed with service and food plus the white sauce was different. Not in a hurry to go back
Entering the front door smelled overwhelming urine odors from the adjacent restrooms, hostess sprayed air freshener to cover it and put, glass on doors is filthy, low expectations have been set.
Despite having anticipated negative experiences based on online reviews, I recently visited this establishment for my 37th birthday. I strongly advise against relying solely on such online feedback.
Upon entering Arigato, I experienced a brief ten-minute wait. However, my family and I were seated at the table with other patrons swiftly. The entertainment provided was of high quality. While I had anticipated witnessing an onion volcano, I was particularly impressed by the “I ❤️ U” inscription on the rice, which elevated my evening beyond the birthday song.
The food was so scrumptious! It was of such high quality, I half-expected it to come with a golden crown. This was my first time returning since the COVID situation, and I must say, I kinda miss their takeout service (i wish they still did it)
Anyway, 10/10 restaurant, the patrons at the tables were exceptionally courteous. While they refrained from excessive conversation, they maintained a respectful demeanor towards one another.
The Chef was great, very personable
Arigato is the best.
Y’all need to get on top of the drink situation. Everytime we come here the chef is almost done cooking by the time the drinks actually come out. The food is awesome by my goodness I don’t understand what takes so long with the drinks
Amazing food
We had an 8:30 reservation for seven, but they added an extra person to fill the table and we didn’t get seated until nearly 9:30. We didn’t leave until after 11.
The food was just okay—nothing standout. Everything had the same flavor, likely due to the carbon buildup on the aging grills, despite the chef’s efforts to clean between dishes. The restaurant feels dated and could use some updates.
That said, the chef was excellent—skilled, efficient, and cooked everyone’s steak to perfection. For the amount of money we spent for seven meals, it doesn't seem like it was worth what we paid... Our bill plus tip was $400+
Chef did no tricks went straight to cooking no conversation or anything
I am hooked. I have to go here once a week. Great service and food is soooooo good.

Arigatos service has been not the best in last couple of years. We always come here for family birthdays, however, there is always something that goes wrong. On the website we include a birthday cake slice (additional $4) and we even remind the staff when we arrive that we have a special birthday. But they never bring us the cake or sing. Arigatos is known to be place to celebrate special occasions, this is why we choose to come here to celebrate. But this is really disappointing that we see a pattern with this. Our waitress messed up our birthday song by singing it to another person. It was very awkward. They ended figuring out that person didn't ask for a slice, yet gave it to them for free. Whereas we didn't even get offered. The last couple of times we came has just become awkward in general because we want to surpise our family members. I understand it is a busy restaurant. But it's an issue the occurs constantly. For a pricey restaurant, I suggest please figure our a way to make birthdays more organized. Whether that's asking the person who booked the reservation or call/email beforehand
Went to Arigato's for the first time ever on Saturday for our Anniversary. Would not go back. our chef didn't interact with us at all. no entertainment value to the meal. Maybe I misunderstood the restaurant from my friends recommendations about it. The food was good, but our rice sat on our plate for 45 minutes while they cooked shrimp and lobster tails for the other people at the table and then cooked everyone's steak before they got to our chicken. Everyone else was finished eating by the time we got our chicken. Checks and take out boxes were brought within minutes of us getting our food and then had a bus boy standing at the table waiting for us to pack up and leave. Barely ate and only had a small bit of rice and chicken to take home. Very disappointed and wouldn't go back again. I heard lots of great things about it, but it didn't even come close to the hype.
A group of girlfriends and I went to the Greensboro location to celebrate the birthdays of two women in our group. We had called to see if we could bring in cupcakes and were told no, they would give a piece of cake to us. We never got any kind of dessert other than the pocky sticks that everyone receives. Our reservation was for 5:30 so they weren’t really busy when we got there. When we left at 7:30 they were just starting to pick up. Before we could even get settled into our seats, the server came over asking if we knew what we wanted. We told her no to food but we wanted to order drinks. She looked at her notepad and walked away. When taking our orders she informed us about the many up charges we would be charged for including teriyaki sauce and having two soups instead of salad. She brought all of our soups and salads before we got our drinks and I ended up going to the bar to get my own drink. On my way I saw a group of servers leaned up against the wall, so clearly they weren’t overwhelmed with business. My drink had black flakes in it from Im guessing the ice so I did not go back for another. We all had empty cups for a while before the server came back with an attitude while filling our cups, I am guessing because she overheard us wondering where she was and when we would get more water. The chef was amazing and gave us a wonderful show and made delicious food. Before he could even roll his cart away, she came around with boxes and didn’t offer any sauce cups or anything to anyone. She didn’t even offer a box to everyone and walked away, making it so that we had to go searching for a box for ourselves. When asked if we wanted something else, one person from our group asked if they could sing to our two birthday girls. She came back and gave us a half hearted happy birthday with 5 seconds of drums, even though we heard other people getting bigger performances for their celebrations. I had two boxes and no one was offered a bag so we also had to get that ourselves. We also weren’t asked how we wanted our bills split before she passed out the bills which was frustrating because we wanted to pay for the birthday girls. I haven’t been to arigato in a long time and after that experience I will not be back. It is very disappointing that we went there to celebrate and we all left in a bad mood because we spent so much money for such an awful experience.
One of a kind experience of grilled food serves fresh and hot. Flavorful sauces that makes you crave for more. Staffs are friendly and accomodating⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hibachi here can never disappoint, but sometimes it does depend on the chef. Service is good. It just depends if it's super busy. Again, I love this place, but a few upgrades to the dining areas wouldn't hurt!
