If you value your taste buds, your digestive system, and your sanity, avoid the Bojangles' on Waughtown Street at all costs. This location is a culinary black hole where flavor and food safety go to die.
I'm unfortunately writing this from a point of being a two time food posing expert here.
So let's break this down.
Ambiance and Aroma: The first thing that hits you upon entering is the pungent odor of marijuana. The staff are more cooked than the food.
Culinary Calamities: The food is not just bad; it's potentially dangerous. My fries were pale, limp, and utterly devoid of seasoning. The biscuit, a Bojangles' staple, was so dry it could have doubled as a hockey puck. But the real kicker was the chicken. Undercooked and greasy, it left me with a lingering case of food poisoning that had me hugging the porcelain throne for days. To add insult to injury, my iceless drink arrived without a straw, rendering it undrinkable.
Service with a Scowl: The staff seemed as unappetizing as the food. They were slow, surly, and seemingly oblivious to the basic principles of customer service.
Overall Impression: This Bojangles' is a disgrace to the franchise. The food is atrocious, the service is abysmal, and the entire establishment reeks of neglect and disregard for basic hygiene. If you're looking for a quick and tasty meal, steer clear of this culinary cesspool. You've been warned.
