Small batch is hands down the best place in Winston-Salem to get a burger and a craft beer.
I’ve lived in Winston for 2+ years, unfortunately, I’ve only known about them for little over a year. They are the most consistent brewery in town, they don’t usually have sours on the menu, but they do offer a Gose, a Ginger Seltzer, blackberry blonde, as well as a house made cocktail menu.
The bartending staff is exceptional! They are knowledgeable about their food and tap offerings and are able to suggest pairings and other combinations you may not have thought of yourself.
10/10 recommend trying small batch at least once, if not 1000 times after that.
Soccer games across the globe are streamed often and usually available on request, along with College FB on saturdays; so the environment is very welcoming for international sports fans throughout the year.
Tuesday is pint night where you get a pint glass per 2 pints drank per person, Wednesday is trivia, Thursday half price pours ($3 16oz craft beers) and my favorite by far is Friday Karaoke!
Also: Met Rick Flair here. It was cool lol. That said, sometimes they can busy if there are conventions in town since they are close to the convention center, but even with a wait they’re always worth it!

If you guys are looking for a dirty bar to eat at, feel free. Staff can be unfriendly and dismissive. I have even seen them eating a French fry off of a plate before walking out to the main area with the dish to serve guests. The table was wiped clean but still had leftover residue from cleaning. The staff uses the same towel that they just wiped someones leftover food off of another table. As for the food, I got the milkshake but it was melting before it even got to me. The server who walked away after dropping it off was sucking on her thumb to get the ice cream off of it. Gross. Doubt she's going to wash that finger before it gets stuck into someone's food plate when she's carrying it out.

Ordered here twice. Tried to order again yesterday. Food was decent just wish they would have what is listed on the menu. Ordered delivery. Order was canceled cause they didnt have item. First time I received medium well burger altho I asked for well. Also Ordered pork belly burger. Apparently they didnt have the pork belly so they put barbecue on top. Wasn't happy about that as if I wanted barbecue I would've ordered their barbecue burger. In addition, I was taken back and discarded my salad as they put the dressing on the salad for delivery. Wasn't a fan of that as salad was soggy when it arrived. Seems like they have pretty decent food if they make the orders right and take more attention to detail to delivery orders.

Ya know how sometimes you are reluctant to tell the world about how much you love a place because then everyone else will go? This is that place! Great staff, good beer selection, daily specials. Haven’t had too much of the food but what we have has been really good.

Food was terrible. My burger wasn't cooked. Brown on outside rare inside. Ordered morning after Burger got mushroom bacon burger. Wife burger so greasy the bottom bun just fell apart. Couldn't eat it. I love burgers. I would not recommend this place. Waitress repeated back our order was still wrong.
We loved this place. The last few times we’ve been downtown my group of friends and I have frequented Small Batch for its chill vibes and good food. After tonight, it is unlikly we will return. We stopped in for 1 drink after dinner and an unfamiliar woman was working the bar. My boyfriend asked if they had a drink menu, which she responded with “it’s in the wall” and when he clarified he wanted a mixed drink menu she then replied with “it’s a bar so you should know what you want.”… okay rude. We looked past it and ordered a vodka cran.
My main problem was when we went to leave. There was a slight miscommunication with my boyfriend and I, and the other thought we paid the bill because she passed us the check. Any other bar I’ve been to asked for the card payment upfront, she apparently didn’t. Well my boyfriend circled our tip amount and we left the bar with our group of friends. While we’re outside the bar conversing about where to go next, we are rudely confronted by this bartender who says we just walked out on our bill. I can understand the frustration but it was a very clear miscommunication that could’ve been handled better. Instead of apologizing, she just said she would she would have to pay if we walked out. Well I’m sorry, I don’t think a $6 vodka cran bill calls for me to be called out for stealing… maybe you should have a process where you take a card upfront to avoid confusion and avoid this interaction. I could also understand if our bill was more expensive.
She then made us wait 5 minutes to ring us up. Overall, great place and I’ve never had problems before but someone needs to have a talk with this seemingly new person. Sad because we really liked this place but probably won’t return again after this interaction.
UPDATE: one of my friends also checked their card today and this place doubled their bill! So also not being truthful with tip amounts. Changed review to 1 star

Really cool spot. Right off the bat we could tell that the staff was exceptional since they welcomed us and everyone that walked through the door right away. I got the smokey burger which was delicious and quit filling. Also tried their Oktoberfest beer, which was also quite good. Again the staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely a great place to relax with friends and enjoy a great meal.
