Decided to give this place a try for the first time with my family last Sunday. Arrived and there were at most 10 others sitting at tables. Environment was very welcoming and seemed be a very quaint place with lots of potential. After ordering we waited over an hour for two appetizers to come out both seemed fresh and delicious despite the time it took. Two meals came out minutes after and the entrees were warmish but sides were cold. Then the other three meals came out roughly 10 minutes later and were about the same. Went to leave and decided to grab a banana pudding to go as they advertised “now serving” at the front, paid for it and waited 5 minutes before the gentlemen came back out and says they don’t have any made and offered me a cookie.I’m sorry but spending $150 was a disappointment considering our experience and probably won’t be returning.

First things first: The service was SUPERB, at least under the conditions while we were there. There were only TWO people working on a busy Thursday night: one operating the kitchen, and the other doing EVERYTHING ELSE. This poor woman was forced to operate the cash register, be a waitress/bus food around, AND bartend ALL ON HER OWN! She was excellent and wonderful and was doing everything in her power to ensure all customers got the best service possible as quickly as possible.Shame on the establishment, though! Mediocre frozen food for ABSURD prices and having their employees working in conditions like that? The poor cashier/waitress/bartender couldn't get even a second to rest because there were constantly about ten people in line and she was working ALL ALONE! You'd think a place charging $14 for a burger and a tiny plate of cheap, barely warm freezer fries could afford to have both a cashier AND a waitress/barkeep on duty at the same time, but apparently not!I want to give this place a good review because I think giving bad reviews is a waste of my time, but I'm just so thoroughly disappointed in this business for the way they're treating their employees AND customers! I was invited to go here with friends and was even excited because the pictures I saw on google looked good! But when we got there... I ordered a plain hotdog (yes, basic, I know) with fries and a side of fried okra for $11 (very cheap, compared to my coworkers $28 burger/fries/(ONE) beer). Never in my life have I seen such a pathetic, wimpy, skinny little hotdog as what I was served, and both the fries and okra were criminally undercooked! Probably because the cook was also overwhelmed with orders that they had to fulfill all on their own, too!!Just asinine prices for cheap, tiny portions and some chic hipster artwork on one wall. I really hope those employees are able to find a better place to work that doesn't expect them to simultaneously do THREE JOBS AT ONCE for the pay of only one! I can't imagine the stress!I could forgive the prices if that money was going toward fairly sized portions that are cooked well... but to me it seems like that money is going nowhere but the owner's personal wallet! I know I sound like a TOTAL Karen, but this is really just shameful for any restaurant owner to facilitate such abysmal conditions for their employees and customers!Seriously, I just keep thinking about how hard that poor young lady was working the other night and how she was maintaining such a fantastic attitude and I feel so angry about her being worked so hard for what undoubtedly is a terrible wage!IMO, this place is all bark, no bite. It looks the part, but the food is about as average and uninteresting as food gets... I've even had better hotdogs that were that freaky unnatural red color... You Know The Ones. Could barely taste the hotdog anyway under all that bread, and it was a normal sized bun! ?I guess... at least they had old, dusty cornhole bags/goals. LOLJust laughable but also irritating! Who the heck runs a business like this?!? Clearly somebody with neither pride nor shame! Spend your money elsewhere. SKIP Campus Gas! Winston-Salem has so much more to offer than this.

We just hosted a party at Campus Gas and it was phenomenal! The staff was accommodating and friendly and they worked tirelessly to make sure the event went smoothly. The appetizers were perfect "bar food' for what we wanted and drinks were very reasonably priced. Great selection of drink options including local beers on tap. We look forward to bringing friends back when the weather is warm--the outdoor space is perfect for patio drinking. This was the perfect place to host a casual gathering!

Haven't tried their food yet, but I've enjoyed coming to Campus Gas for the low key atmosphere. Chill place to hang with firepit, tv, fridge of grab n go drinks, large tables for larger groups, etc. Typically only one person behind the bar on Thursday nights, so it can be a little slow to get drinks.

Great prices, friendly staff. Comfortable modern inudstrial scene & atmosphere. Love the coffee there, and the banana pudding they now have is delicious!
Really neat spot, with a great location.Usually very accessible before and after WF events, throughout the year. The staff has always been excellent to us. Especially Kim!
I have eaten at Campus Gas before, but it's been a while. However, I saw through social media that they were offering a banana pudding now and decided to stop in just for a mid-day snack. As for the banana pudding, it's served cold, old-fashioned style, which I love. It was a bit expensive in my opinion to be $3 for a palm-sized serving. However, if I really just want some of my favorite dessert, I can see myself stopping here to get some, so I hope they continue to offer it. As for Campus Gas as a whole, that's mainly why it's been a while since I've been there. I don't tend to drink, so I don't go for the bar aspect, but rather the food. I feel like for the value of what you're getting, you could get cheaper and better burgers/bar food elsewhere. I think the main draw is the atmosphere since it's a cool location and sometimes they have a fire pit outside at night. If you're going for food alone though, it's worth a try just to see what you think, but it's not a place I personally would frequent. I personally would rank it around 3.5/5, but since I've never had bad service, I'm rounding up to a 4.

Great little spot with awesome outdoor space! It’s a college bar so just know that before coming so you don’t get bent out of shape if college kids frequent the spot. Great local watering hole that serves food and coffee!

Kim took good care of us- we called ahead and she was very accommodating when we asked to watch a specific soccer game.
