In the past this is the 1st Chinese restaurant I recommended to my friends. I hadn't been there for a while. After my recent visit I will never go back. I ordered Chinese vegetables in brown sauce and an egg roll. This was by far the WORST Chinese food I've ever had. The vegetables consisted of raw broccoli, a few huge slices of onion and 1 snow pea. There were sparse globs of jelly like substance on the vegetables and didn't have anything resembling a sauce. The egg roll is just indescribable. I took a bite, spit it out and everything went straight in the garbage.

Taste is OK but scallops were in my order was imitations just flour dough plain taste.Price I paid for the food they should use fresh or frozen scallops.

Food was completely awful. Ordered sesame chicken and general tso chicken. Did not taste like chicken. Had a fishy taste. Crab Rangoon did not have crab in them. Tasted like straight cream cheese. Rice was under cooked. Needless to say I will never return. Even the fortune cookies were stale and the donut were overcooked. I ordered a considerable amount of food that all went to the trash.

THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORST CHINESE RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER EATEN FROM! My sesame chicken was so undercooked in was pink in the middle and looked like undercooked pork. My crab Rangoons were over fried on the outer crust and barely fried at all in the entire center. The consistency of the sauce for my rangoons was like water! The sticky white rice was too sticky. I also got donuts which I was super excited for because I LOVE them and haven't had any in a long time and they were flat, over fried on the outside and I had to sugar them myself with the sugar in the bottom of the bag. EVEN THE FORTUNE COOKIE WAS STALE! I will NOT be returning here.

As a long time customer over 8 yrs at times the portions do appear fair for the prices they charge. It's just been over the 3 past years they totally rip off customers. Example in buying a quart of pork fried rice paying a extra $3 for meat & $1 for veggies when I get my order home to eat it's ridiculous how they don't put the extra items we pay for. I have been ripped off for the last time, each time in the past couple years this continues to happen & I tell myself I am never going back to China Chef. Some months pass as I drive through the parking lot I decided to give them another chance. I purposely advise the gentleman at the order window that the last time I was there I didn't get the extra meat and veggies I payed for! He says ok I will make sure they put the extra items I pay my hard earned money for. And once again they Ripp me off this is just one example of the different meals I purchased a long with now the small egg rolls they pedal. I will never ever go there again this time I have reached my end of giving this place my money. With this economy and inflation only a glutton for punishment would return back to a place that takes advantage of customers.

We use to live in NC and would come here once a week. Their rice noodles are great! Honestly, if they had a fancy looking brick and mortar they could charge 3 times the price because all of their food is so good. I am a very picky Chinese food person. We now live in SC and every time we visit NC we make sure to go here. The comments about tasteless or bad food could not be further from the truth. Their food is always high quality, I have never purchased something from this location that wasn’t amazing!

Ordered chicken and broccoli with 2 egg rolls. It was better than expected! I've always loved the egg rolls here but now I will have to add chicken and broccoli to my list! I ordered a small and it happened to be a larger than expected portion. I can't believe people have complained about portion sizes on their reviews, but believe me it's enough. I feel if I would have gotten a medium size I could have served 2 people. I enjoyed my meal, and will be a repeat customer.
