Their Italian sandwich on ciabatta is THE BEST. I love that they do arugula, mayo provolone and red onion on it. It's so simple but delicious, especially with some chips added in. Seriously get something on ciabatta, you won't regret it.
The food here is absolutely phenomenal!!!! Best sandwich I’ve ever had -truly. I grew up in NY and the food is better than NY at Dioli’s!!! We cannot wait to come back again. Their bakery is truly delicious too! We loved everything we had and this is my new favorite place in Winston to eat!!!
Honestly the best sandwiches in town. A truly amazing family-operated business!
Tried a new place for nice desserts yesterday and always come back to no one can beat Dioli’s. Lemon curd tarts are tart and sweet at the same time, brownies with intense chocolate, focaccia makes the very best sandwiches. I could go on and on, but let’s just say this place is simply unmatched in WS for desserts and sandwiches.
My child and I were spitting out plastic wrappers from our sandwhich. And the place is dirty.
Was anxious to try the place but reading a constant theme of a crotchety man there (owner?) That is very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Cust Svc is 50%-plus of a business. A great welcoming atmosphere can even overcome nominal food. My money doesn't play well with misery. So, I have no interest in coming. Sweeten Up.
Arrived at 10:30 am on a Saturday and they were on fact not open. No sign on door. Drove out here for nothing sadly.
My bf and I always come here, never once has it disappointed. We’ve had our orders taken by different people at different times we’ve went and each time is always great! He gets a turkey sandwich, which is always fresh, and I get a chicken parmesan sub with extra marinara sauce. I do end up getting fries as well because they are just SO good. And Root beer too! We aren’t ones for small talk, so it’s nice to get our food quickly and hot, that way we can just carry it out. The dessert is great too, I get the napoleon and he gets the peanut butter cheesecake. I have to save the other half of my sandwich for later because the portions are plenty. I see why they are usually busy at lunch! (I go around 2pm or early before lunch to avoid waiting long).
I really like this place, the food is amazing, they just need more staff, every time I come it’s packed and the employees seem overwhelmed.
We first found Dioli's a year or two ago when visiting my son's family in Winston-Salem. It's one of our favorite go-to places in WS. The sandwiches are fresh made with excellent bread and top quality, home made ingredients. Everything we've tried is outstanding, Italian sandwiches, shrimp salad, rotisserie turkey, etc. and the side salads (pasta, tortellini) are loaded with flavor. The desserts are spectacular. Can't wait to go back

Slow, disorganized. Lack communication

The taste of the tiramisu was there. But with it having chocolate shavings throughout the dessert it was distracting to the overall experience of eating it versus recipes that only use cocoa powder. Loved the taste but the texture was very distracting versus others that I have had. Also had very tasty cookies and lovely service!

Always, always excellent. Service is comfortably surly, and the payoff is the absolute best sandwiches and take-home lasagna in WSNC. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Heard him yelling at a kid about no one wanting to work, while simultaneously sending him home. Food was ok, it wasn't the best. Everyone there seemed to have an attitude. Owner seems like he's got a stick up his ass. Probably would steer clear because I saw a dead roach in the dessert case.

Nice little place. Had the meatball sandwich and their bacon ranch potato salad, weird combo, i know. It was great. Second time I've eaten here, next time I'm in Winston Salem I'll eat here again.
