Don Zapata's Mexican Grill

So glad this place was open until 10! After a fun filled night of shenanigans, my friend and I were starving. All dolled up we decided we wanted fantastic Mexican food, and Zapata's did not disappoint, nor did they bat an eye when we waltzed in with all our glitz and glamour. Very respectful, loved our waitress, and the food was absolutely delicious! Will be back soon! Thank you so much! ❤️?

Always enjoy this particular restaurant for my Mexican food. They carry my favorite hot sauce and are always friendly and courteous. I never have a problem when I come! Very nice atmosphere!

Parking: Parking is right in front of the restaurant. Outdoor patio available for dining outside.

Kid-friendliness: Yes. Very kind friendly.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Located on ground floor. No stairs. Handicapped parking right in front of restaurant. Even outdoor eating patio is accessible to wheelchairs and folks like me with limited mobility.

Great lunch! Good chile relleno, tamales, poblano dip, mole chicken breast and esquite/elote. Friendly waitress.

We loved every part of this hidden gem!
The food was hot, fresh, flavorful AND affordable!!
We ordered off the lunch menu and the food came FAST, the portions were perfect too! Just enough food to fill you up without having to take a box of food back to work.
I absolutely adored the tiny cast iron pan for my sizzling fajitas, I had never seen one that small!
We loved the vibes and decor, it's a nice spot to be in a shopping center. The waiter was quiet but very attentive. My drink was never half empty and he made sure we knew that we were his top priority.
You'll definitely be seeing more of us at this restaurant!

Can we scream downhill what happened at lunch August 2, 2024 arrived in the restaurant 11:50 AM was directed to sit in the bar at a booth. I don’t do that. I asked to be sat in the dining area I was taken to a booth, the lunch was deplorable. I have been eating at this restaurant for 25+ years. It’s changed hands and names throughout the years, but it was always a good go to restaurant stay away. Save your money. The server did not even come by one time to refill our water or our drinks Did not come by to ask how our lunch was it was deplorable. We had a burrito. I chose the Texas burrito. It should be served with shrimp sliced steak and chicken dishwater(3) shrimp served with rice and refried beans. Three pieces of beef. It was disgusting and I had anticipated caring home half of the burrito to have for my dinner. I left it at the restaurant , never again

I have been eating here for years and never had a complaint. I ordered the Texan fajitas for 2 with broccoli and zucchini. They charged me a extra $6.00 for the vegetables which has never been that high. The fajitas was very bland with no seasoning on it that made it difficult to eat. Needless to say, I won't be back for a while if ever. This was very disappointing.
