Is S.

I came in for lunch recently. It has been a while since I've stopped in, but it was convenient and I was meeting a friend. The service here is good. Everyone is nice, the place is clean, and it's located in a great spot. I ordered the Bang Bang chicken wrap and a side of pasta salad. The wrap was pretty good, and the bang bang chicken has a nice flavor. Nothing mind blowing, but good. The pasta salad is average. I've been here many times over the years, and I'm sure I'll be back.

A+++ very good. I get it once a week. I always offer it to auditors. They love it. Everyone likes the blueberry applesauce. Lots of options. Thank you.

Nice deli, tucked into the corner of One W 4th. Entrance is on 1st floor to the left, but if you are a kid or a kid at heart use the revolving door. Nice sized deli, with college theme and a good flow and not to loud. Sandwiches are tasty. Made with quality meats that have a good flavor. Served with your choice of side. I opted for the house made chips which were fine. I like mine a little crisper but that could have because I showed up during lunch rush and everyone was ordering chips. Stop they were not bad by any means. A nice place to grab a good sandwich when you are downtown

I've been Eating here for over 10 years and I still say they have the best hamburgers in town (food in general). The staff is always nice and professional, when I moved to Greensboro and High Point i drove to Winston just to eat here.

Best pastrami sandwich in Winston Salem. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. One time when their card readers were down, and we didn’t have cash, the owner told us not to worry about payment and to get back to them whenever we could. That’s the kind of interaction that puts a locally owned place like this over any chain restaurant. And they’ve got homemade ranch!

It was my first time checking out Downtown Deli in Winston. A great casual option for lunch if you want a place to either dine with friends or alone like I did. You order at the counter and they give you a ticket with your number on it. While you are waiting you can grab your drink & select your seat. There is a very nice worker there who comes by and checks your ticket number and will bring the food right to the table. He even stopped back by and picked up my tray when I was finished. I had the French dip sandwich, which was roast beef and cheese on a hoagie with au jus for dipping and homemade chips. I personally would not get the French dip again but the homemade chips were good! I am looking forward to visiting again, trying something new and hopefully revisiting my rating.

Food is great an made in a timely matter. But the guy working the front register is a well let's just say he's different with his black customers than he is with his white customers an that's never ok.

Lunch today at Downtown Deli. Let me start with what was good. Super friendly helpful staff. The restaurant was very clean. The ice tea was really good and fresh brewed. I wish I could say I loved the food but I did not. It wasn't bad just nothing special. My husband got the Nathan steak sandwich and I got the John Luke described as a grilled Turkey sub. The bread was small for a sub roll and mushy like a hotdog roll. It came with lettuce and tomato but had very little of either on the sandwich. He got the house made chips and I got the fried green beans. Again it was just ok. Probably won't go back. I've had better at subway quite frankly and there are too many amazing sandwich shops in town to try again.

Excellent food. Very friendly staff. Well stocked condiment area. Highly recommend, good assortment of sandwiches! Parking is the only issue & walking is most likely to happen once you find place to park.

I am in total love of this place. Wanted breakfast but didn't want normal fast foods, so we ordered delivery from here right before their breakfast window closed. 9ur foods were fresh and hot, exactly what we ordered, and SO GOOD. I will definitely be ordering from them again and again and again. Try their croissant breakfast sandwiches with a side of loaded potatoes. One sandwich each and shared the side, now my husband are so full and so satisfied. Loved loved loved it.
