Ok..not a five because of the sides. Both the beans and mac n cheese were room temperature, but good flavor, just not hot. However, the brisket, pulled chicken, and burnt ends were really hot, lots of flavor, and lots of it. The BBQ sauce was awesome and the roasted jalapeño just the right touch.

Our BBQ sandwiches were okay, but the taste was a bit off and unlike any Texas or NC bbq we have had before. The frozen margaritas were excellent, but we got our food and not our drinks, so when we went up to ask about them the bartender seemed irritated, then looked at her work area, picked up a receipt, and said "oops" which I assumed meant she just missed the order. The pro dog atmosphere and outside seating were nice.

Loved the outside dining area. There was live music, and I believe it was a bit Irish. The brisket was dry. But it was good. We also tried the margarita flight. It's a good place to sit and enjoy the weather and eat.

I knew it was going to be expensive before going but $80 for 2 people. Ridiculous! However, it was a special occasion, so we went ahead. The food was edible but not real Texas style. It was missing flavor of Texas BBQ.

This was my first visit to East of Texas. Ordered wings, nachos and pork sandwich. I was hoping for the hot honey glaze to have more of a spicy kick. As for the flavor, it was really good. The cheese on the nachos was a bit more congealed than I would have expected. Almost like the nachos were plated very quickly and sat while the rest of my order was made. So I can only say the nachos were good. Probably taste better with gooey cheese. I will give it a try next time. Very big portion so it is sharable amongst a party of 4. The pork sandwich was a bit dry. I would recommend getting some BBQ sauce or use some cilantro ranch like I did. For me, that combination worked. Will definitely return and try some other things on the menu.

Sadly, I was excited to try this place but it is a big no…we order pork bites to go and I got pure fat bites, usually pork comes with fat but is not supposed to be more fat that meat, I think I just had two little tiny piece of meat, i was not even able to eat the rest because was just chunks of fat ?Also, it is pricey…$14 for the bites with onions rings (which I don’t eat) so I wanted to change the rings for mac and cheese but it was not possible so I have to pay the extra for the side…on top of that…

Stopped by for lunch while in town to check this place out - has been on the list for a while and wanted to see what the hype was about. Here are my thoughts:EnvironmentA lot of space with plenty of seating for large parties and seating at the bar as well. They also have a bunch of outside seating for the spring and summer time or warmer weather. It's a ton of light and very airy - great place for families.ServiceYou order at the register and then they call your name at the other end of the restaurant to pick up your food. The staff were friendly and helpful with the menu . Once you finish with your food you take yoru plate to up to the trash area and put the tray in the tray area and discard your trash. Pretty simple! On in all the service was quick and easy and everyone was friendly.Food and drinksThe food was pretty good. The slacker nachos were huge! You can order that by it's self and be done for the day. Definitely made for a large party. I also had the brisket sandwich which was solid. No standouts but I am curious to try other things on the menu to see if I can find a fan favorite. We didn't order any drinks but they were fairly expensive especially knowing that there was a bar walking distances from here that had cheaper options.OverallIts a cool space that seems very family oriented with large amounts of food that can feel big parties. The food was fine and I definitely would come back to see if there are any stand outs that I like.

Food was delicious. One of our drinks was forgotten for a bit but really wasn't a big deal. Atmosphere was very nice and clean. Will 100% be going back.

I’ve been here twice and like the food. The ladies working the counter have NOT been friendly at all. The price is high, and I was told the front staff is paid a server’s wage. This is insulting because they don’t do table service at all, and they ask you to bus your own table. Seriously, why charge so much for the food yet not pay appropriately. I doubt I’ll be back anytime soon. Asking the public to tip servers who don’t server is unethical.

Lots of parking for the area and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating with three garage doors to combine both sides. There is a small lot for basketball shots. On to the food! There is: pork, chicken, turkey, brisket, burnt ends, salmon bbq plates, salads, sandwiches, and specials. There are 1/4#, 1/2# and 1# trays, takeaway meals boxes, and a really good cabbage and radish slaw.I ordered a turkey plate, and they were out, so they offered me options until I found one a liked, that was my next choice-brisket. It was righteous! I will be back!Dietary restrictions: They clearly marked No Dairy on my kitchen ticket and followed through. There are corn tortillas in lieu of flour tortillas.
