The other reviews are a great warning of what stupidity to expect. The girl taking my order was very sweet no issues. Whoever was scheduled to make sandwiches 12/02/2025 keep her OFF THAT STATION. I paid for a bowl of soup she tried to give me a cup (and a fork?) and stapled the bag. luckily i ripped that to put my correct utensils and napkins in . Sadly I didn’t check the sub I get home it’s on wheat bread when I ordered white. I have one singular GIANT ring of onion only on one side of my sandwich . Guess I’ll prep and cut it myself. But then I realize she put a single half cut of tomato on the entire medium sub??? Maybe she was new and if so I’d have somebody retrain ASAP. I was also the only person in the entire store…

I'm really disappointed with my recent visit to Firehouse Subs. The food was okay, but the service was terrible. One of the girls working there was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She acted like she was doing me a favor by taking my order, and when I asked a question about the menu, she rolled her eyes and gave me a sarcastic answer. Honestly, her attitude ruined the whole experience for me. I'm not sure I'll be back, and I'll definitely think twice before recommending this place to anyone.
Went to order two different sandwiches and with each sandwich I was told one or more of the listed toppings like bacon on a club or peppers on a Philly steak was currently out of stock. When I asked if I was required to pay full price for missing toppings or out of stock toppings, I was told yes .. I had to pay full price.
Poor in inventory management
I left without ordering at 6pm. So it wasn't a closing situation.. just poor management
Veteran's Day bait and switch... Advertising a free med. Combo with sub, chips, and drink. Drive there, walk in, and it's a BOGO... what do I need with 2 subs? They don't care about Veterns. They just want your money.

Ordered online and they forgot half my order. Also made sandwich incorrectly and were unable to provide a refund. I paid nearly $20 for half an incorrect order.

Came in to order some dinner and a sign was written that all of the meats for the subs were out. A long with no available meat for the sandwiches, customer service was non existent. We were never greeted when we came in and were never asked if we'd like help

The food was absolutely amazing! The bread was incredibly moist, with a delightful texture that melted in my mouth. The vegetables were fresh and vibrant, bursting with flavor, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The theme of the restaurant is creative and immersive; they really embrace it with attention to detail. I stumbled upon this gem by accident while I was headed to Jimmy John's, but I’m so glad I did—this place is definitely worth the detour. The only downside was the customer service, which felt quite indifferent; it wasn't bad, but it certainly lacked personality and warmth.

I recently visited Firehouse Subs in Winston-Salem, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure my order was just right. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and had a great atmosphere.
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious! I ordered the Hook & Ladder sub, and it was packed with fresh ingredients, perfectly toasted, and full of flavor. The meats were tender, the cheese melted just right, and the toppings were fresh and crisp. You can really taste the quality in every bite.
What sets Firehouse Subs apart is not just their amazing food but also their commitment to the community. Knowing that a portion of proceeds supports first responders makes every meal even more satisfying.
If you're looking for a great sub spot in Winston-Salem, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

First ever order at this franchise and I'm served clearly moldy bread. Called up there and no one answers the phone during open hours. Completely disgusting and unacceptable.

Long wait, place was dirty as if not cleaned from day before at 11:30am. Sub was good. Cleanup the place, less wait time and I’ll be back.
I went and picked up food for my bf and friend that had been working outside all day, and very disappointed with how much meat was on a Large Steamer. This portion looks to be for a small or medium. After working in the cold all day and looking forward to late lunch, this did not help.
