While visiting the area, was eager to get great Carolina barbecue and was pointed here. While it's solid, it's rather uncompetitive in the overall perspective of the local market (meaning Carolinas in general, not Winston-Salem as I don't have enough data to make that claim). Had the bbq pork plate / platter - meat, hushpuppies, and 2 sides (greens, okra). Meat was fine - solid 8/10. Swapped rolls for hushpuppies (don't love hushpuppies), which were straight out of a Wonder bag. Greens were unremarkable but call it 7/10. Okra over breaded (cornmealed?) but tasty enough - 7/10. You get the point - solid but unremarkable. Service was similar - superficially helpful / friendly, but very much superficial. Place was a bit fancy for a traditional 'que place, but it is what it is. Makes sense when you are also pushing alcohol sales - completely fair in that they need to make a buck. I have to believe there is better, but it's solid if you have the right expectations.

The chop BBQ with lexington sauce and slaw was the best I've had from LR i i think ever. My Hotdog all the way was perfect. The shrimp taco were pretty good but a little bland. Defiantly not bad at all.Only issue I have is the price. It's pretty high for the amount of food.Regardless I'm full and happy. I will be a return customer

I'm going to agree with another reviewer who said the quality has declined. It's been a while since I had been to Little Richard's & the quality is not what it once was. Average food at inflated prices. Overpriced watered down sweet tea. The chopped plate had a significant amount of fat. Some fat in barbecue is normal but the plates we got all had too much of it.All Little Richards through the years have been a good place for lunch & dinner but that appears to no longer be the case. It was a huge disappointment & not a mistake I'll make again. Maybe they were having a really bad day. Maybe this is the standard now. But even if the food had been better it would still be overpriced. If you want barbecue there are plenty of places in Winston & the triad that are better & cheaper.

I called in a order & asked the girl if they had "smoked WHOLE wings, & she said yes. I asked 2x! Made the order, picked it up, got home & no Whole wings! I had wigettes! Called back, she didn't know what a WHOLE wing was. Gave me the manager, & he didn't know either! I've never heard of such! Never! I explained what a WHOLE, uncut/ broken wing was & he was apologetic & asked what he could do to make it right? Nothing, because you don't have what I want. It times past, I've gotten WHOLE wings @ the Walkertown store & assumed all menus were the same. Besides the wing issue, I got 2 ribs, & they were tough, just like my brother had said. I even defended them when he talked about the ribs, but he was right! 26.00 meal wasted! The side salad was fine. I hate wasting money to not get what I want! Sinful!!

I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. The atmosphere was casual and there were different seating arrangements. There were booths there were tables, there were half booths and half tables which I love. The food was great. The chicken wing was good w/Asian sauce,. I had the sauce on the side and the chicken was not salty like so many other places I have been to. I also had the brisket and the ribs and they were good. It was not overly salty like other barbecue restaurants in town they put so much salt you can’t even taste the food because all you can taste the salt so I loved it. Thankyou chef that realize we are not deers so we don’t need to lick on a salt cube!The potato salad was good and so was the hush puppies. The only thing I think could’ve been better was the rolls they were kinda cheap It added nothing meal And the coleslaw was not good. It didn’t have any flavor. I suggest you guys do some taste testing on that coleslaw and really work on that recipe because it need a littleSweetness needed some tartness and it was just blah. It’s hard to mess up coleslaw but whoever is making the coleslaw do not know what they doing so sorry sorry Chef . Services is great and I will definitely be ordering my super bowl wings from there so you better not run out. Lots of food for the price I had a big lunch the next day! Was recommended here by a friend and let me just say, this is my boyfriend and I’s new favorite place to grab food. We dined in 01/14/24 and our server Emily was amazing. Before we could even ask for more ranch she was already on it. Loved her service very friendly and attentive and also not too pushy. Food was amazing and the quantity was even better.
