FYI- This restaurant is not open to the public. They only serve inn guests now.
I would like to review Founders on things like the quality of the food and attentiveness of the staff but I can’t because they canceled everyones Easter reservation to accommodate a private party. We had made our reservation weeks in advance. On the Thursday before Easter my wife called them to adjust our reservation and was informed all reservations have been canceled. I don’t think I will give them another try.
Another solid brunch spot in WS. I came here yesterday for Sunday brunch with a group of friends before seeing a matinee theater show. This was a great start to the day.
We called ahead last week to reserve a table for 8 but it ended up being just the 6 of us. They still sat us at a nice oversized table (almost too large) in a semi-private room which was a pleasant surprise.
Our waiter Brandon was very nice and friendly, prompt with orders, and always checking back in regularly. He also offered some suggestions on personal and fan favorites (shrimp and grits, beignets)
I can't resist flight options when they're on the menu, so I had to go with the mimosa flight. I tried the sunrise, tropical, and Tiffany (OJ/tequila, bacardi/coconut/pineapple, and lemonade / blue zest).
My favorite was actually the Tiffany even though I'm not a huge fan of lemonade, it was light and refreshing and crisp/chill, exactly how I love it. The other two were tasty but not as cold - I asked for ice - but probably because they're made with tequilas that aren't refrigerated.
For our entrees, we got an assortment of benedicts, salads, and chicken/waffles.
I personally had the pork belly benedict. The pork belly itself was really good and the poached eggs were perfectly runny, but as a whole, it fell a little flat, just didn't quite deliver the entire burst of flavor I was hoping for. It was not bad by any means, I think it just needed a/more sauce or something.
All in all though, we had a great time and would definitely return. Pricing is pretty fair/standard as well. I could definitely be tempted by the martini or margarita flight next time as well as the beignets which we totally forgot about after the waiter initially suggested them!
A must have experience in my opinion. Great food, great ambience, great service. Would recommend to anyone and I can't wait to go back again.
The food was great! Love the restored old home this is in. Breakfast was part of our B&B ( a real B&B,) which also was terrific. This is overlooked by locals.
Please know, this is a neat, smaller house with limited seating. Reservations are recommended and they make that clear, so please disregard reviews relating to that complaint! This is a very nice house to enjoy the space while waiting to be seated and the staff was nothing but hospitable! Kai was our server and she was very friendly and on top of everything for us! The Cherry Bomb Mimosas were excellent to start with! They have a full wine, beer and Mimosa menu! The menu did have lots of food to choose from and had lots of great options! I ordered the Texas Pete Chicken biscuit, only complaint was the bottom of it was entirely sticky underneath like it got set in it and the biscuit was a little burnt on the bottom. Overall it was good! The waffles are unique and everyone I dined with enjoyed their food too! Kai kept our drinks full and even brought coffee after we ate for us to enjoy since it sounded good! The food was good, place was very enjoyable and we left feeling satisfied! Will be back!
Love love love! This is our go-to spot for a family celebration. 2nd time visiting and we shall be back! It cost a bit of $, but for special occasions it's not that bad! Drinks are good, and the mimosas is a must! Food was just as delicious and the service is always great!♡ Can't wait for the next time!
Delicious and a beautiful historic house
Cute spot for a brunch with friends. Haven't had anything from there I didn't enjoy. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food. Not the quickest service, so don't go if you're in a rush; go to sit and talk and enjoy.

This place is so bogus! Brunch is served until 2:00 pm. On a Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm, I thought I would enjoy a nice brunch to myself…that’s right…a party of 1. When I walk in, there is only 1 party on the patio and plenty of empty seats inside as well. I got turned away because I did not have a reservation. I won’t ever come to this place again!
What a wonderful place for a birthday brunch! There is regular food, but for the more adventurous foodie, you will Really love this place! Can wait to go back!! ??

The manager was very rude to us , slamming chairs around due to a party of 12. Stating he was not aware of the reservation, accidentally hit a member of our group with a chair without even acknowledging his mistake. We just walk out if a manager can act like that .As paying customers we do expect common courtesy.
