Though I'd passed this colorful food truck a number of times, this was my first visit. It is now located in a lot at 815 Waughtown Street, and has operated in this area for over 5 years! I ordered the Lamb Gyro and a rice bowl with Chicken and Lamb. The food was ready in about 10 minutes, and there was a massive amount of food - easily 5 pounds of food for about $17 - if you can find more for that money, take it! The gyro was loaded, really loaded, with delicious, tender cubes of lamb, with plenty of grilled onions, lettuce and some green pepper, all wrapped in a large, very flavorful pita, smothered in the outstanding house made white sauce - always seen it called Halal Cart WhiteSauce, may have another name. This gyro is different from the Greek version, but is a great sandwich in it on right - and rivals similar street food found in Manhattan - the first place I ever encountered this type food! The Chicken and Lamb Rice Bowl was also very large, with big amounts of lamb and chicken resting of very tasty rice. There are wedges of pita, slices of cucumber, and shredded lettuce - the house white sauce goes really well with it all, including the " salad"! I would suggest ordering additional pita for this dish. Just like the Gyro this dish rivals the NYC street food version found all over Manhattan. As mentioned above the lamb is very tasty, and the chicken was as well, and it bears the characteristic red color coming from a dusting of a tandoori or Kashmiri type pepper mix. I would suggest mixing a portion of the two sauces together for the meat - outstanding flavor combo. This is another ethnic gem that I hope Winston will continue to support - I certainly intend to do my part, often! Ambiance - 0 Food - 5 Service - 5 Value - 5

This place was a little hard to find because it's an actual food truck. However, it was so well worth it! The food was terrific, the chefs were really great people. Very friendly and accommodating. Prices were reasonable for how much food you get. We easily had enough for two days. Flavors were great, spiced just right. Lots of menu choices. Something for everyone. You gotta go try them, you won't be disappointed.Vegetarian options: Falafel

The best food truck I have had in town! Used to be located in New York but came to Winston to add to the culture. I have been back 4 times in 2 weeks! Another guy there said the same thing. Everything is good so far. Good prices and great taste. Fills you up.

We moved here from NYC last year and have missed Halal vendor food. We were craving it so decided to try this place and we were surprisingly blown away. It was even better than a lot of Halal Cart food we have in NYC. We had the Chicken over rice with white and barbecue sauce. The chicken was so tender and seasoned so well. The rice was amazing and the sauce was perfect. We will now be permanent customers. Thank you to the owners!!!

Food tastes amazing, is good quality and value for money. Mr. Hamad is very friendly and always greets his customers in a genuine and friendly way. Chicken over rice is my staple here. The chickpeas is very good as a vegetarian too. Highly recommend!
It all started when I watched the Instagram video of Halal food in New York and was thinking how great it looked had me wanting to go to New York to try it so I thought I would search locally to see if I can find in Winston-Salem and lo and behold I found this truck....... This halal food truck is AMAZING!!!! It was my first time trying it and I must say it was love at first taste!! I got a huge portion and for the price I was really surprised in a very good way! I can't wait to go back and get more it is this freaking good!! All this time this food truck was here and I had no idea but I sure am glad I found it!! I highly recommend any and everybody to come try out this huge and you won't be disappointed!! And the gentleman who cooks this food is very nice pleasant and professional!
