I’ve been coming to InDemand since it first opened. In the beginning, the food was outstanding—creative, flavorful, and consistently well-prepared. The service matched the food in quality, and I often recommended the place to friends and family, especially for their Mac and cheese balls and the Cuban burger.

Unfortunately, my recent experiences have made me rethink returning.

Most recently, I brought my family to InDemand to celebrate a graduation, and I left feeling embarrassed that I had suggested it. When I arrived—after my party had already been seated—I walked into an empty restaurant and was not greeted. The hostess/server was absorbed in an iPad and didn’t even look up as I entered.

The lack of attention didn’t stop there. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant, the place was untidy—dirty tables were left uncleared, and staff seemed more focused on relaxing than maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

Ordering was frustrating. Our server didn’t use a notepad, which might explain why he had to return to the table three separate times to double-check details he had forgotten. When our food finally arrived, there were multiple issues: avocado had been cross-contaminated across several plates (despite specific requests), and the server accidentally brushed the back of my head with a plate before handing it to another guest at our table. It was careless and unhygienic.

InDemand used to be a place I proudly recommended. Now, I can’t say the same. Unless they return to the high standards they started with, I won’t be coming back.

I do NOT RECOMMEND! The place looks nice but there were so many things wrong with my visit.
The portions and prices were horrible. I got the Korean barbecue boa buns and while the first one was tasty it was half empty breading barely any meat. I took a bite out of my second one and it was extremely undercooked. I didn’t notice until after I had already taken the bite and swallowed.
The rice bowl combo with the 5 skewers were not great either. All the meat was pretty bad and the chicken was all gristle. The rice itself was actually really good so the rest of the dish was really disappointing. I got the $10 chili cheese fries and the fries weren’t cooked all the way and the chili was just canned chili not the best.
I sent the boa buns back because I ate undercooked chicken and they would only discount half the price of the dish. It took so long to get our food with an empty restaurant for it to be undercooked and they refused to take the dish off the check when I consumed under cooked meat.

I would also like to note most of the stuff on their menu didn’t say what came with it, I had no idea the boa buns came with cabbage and carrot on it because it only said Korean bbq. The server asked if he wanted fried rice or jasmine rice. He got the fried rice, but apparently fried rice is an up charge that she didn’t mention and wasn’t on the menu.
I want to add from the response to this. That the chicken was very clearly undercooked and not warm enough to be up to temp. Even in the picture in bad lighting you can see how pink it was. The first boa bun did not have that pink color at all. I will correct that the portions were not the worst, however the price for the quality of the food and service was not good. And got nothing but an annoyed response when we asked why there was an up charge that we weren’t told about. I did not want the whole meal for free, I did not want to pay for raw food and requested the boa buns be taken off.

I would like to add after a few months looking back that I did in fact get sick afterwards and regret not taking further action. Please pay extra attention when eating here.

Asked for burger to be med rare, it came out well done. Fries are subpar.

Four stars only because I got takeout. Will revise if dine-in service is good too. Drunken Noodles, medium-spicy or hotter with chicken is a WISE decision so if you're a Pad Thai fan - theirs is probably great. I like my mac & cheese baked with a light golden crisp on top but that aside, theirs is quite good - 4.5/5. Short on parking out front & didn't notice a back or side lot but I lucked up & didn't need to. Check them out!

They have 2 vegan patty options and 1 vegan bun option. I opted for the ‘mushroom/cauliflower patty’ because it sounded good. The flavor was great but it has a very soggy and squishy texture that didn’t fit well in a burger. I was left with a soggy mix of bread and mush towards the end of my meal. I would go again and try their ‘nutty patty’ because like I said the flavor was great.

1st time trying Hops and it was pretty good. Lots of choices for burgers. There are some apps and other meal options but definitely a burger joint. We had the onuon rings which are light battered and the fries with poutine also pretty good. I had the bison burger build your own with parmesan truffle fries and my husband had the Hops traditional cheeseburger with slaw. Hubby slaw was lil dry but still good.

The burgers at this place are so good! The spicy goat is my go to. Definitely recommend getting that one and the goat cheese balls as appetizers. Add a good beer to the combo and it is game over…

Absolutely great food and awesome service. We were in town early February to check out art museum and found this place. French onion burger is insanely delicious. Onions rings...omg good. Go here. Order burgers. Enjoy.

We went on a Friday night and sat at the bar. It got very, very busy by the time we left. We shared the house salad, which was good, and a regular burger, which was also delicious. The fries were a little cold when they came out and the server brought us another order, no questions asked. In fact, service was very friendly and good. Parking is a little tricky. The space in front is more for takeout. There is a very small lot located just above the restaurant, which is where we parked. There may be more parking above that, a short walk away. One thing I wasn't happy about: We sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait 30 minutes for a table. The bar seating was fine, but as the restaurant became more crowded, because there wasn't much of a waiting area, people waiting for tables pushed closer and closer to us, leaning in to shout their drink orders, and of course, there wasn't a mask in sight.

What amazing food. Would recommend the red onions to anyone and everyone. Such amazing staff all in all an amazing place to go eat.

I’m a very understanding person and I know what it’s like to work long hours during the pandemic in the food industry but tonight I left feeling bullied. I have celiac disease and a cinnamon allergy. Before you stop reading and assume I’m going to complain about cross contamination let me just say that I know the risks associated with going out to eat but I eat gluten free cross contaminated food on rare outings. With all that being said, there is a reputation and assumption when I ask if something is gluten free that I am going to be high maintenance and honestly I understand why because society paints people with celiac in this way. When waitresses and waiters are sassy towards me I just kind of expect it now sadly but the waitress here was next level. Every time I had a question this waitress would grit her teeth and essentially yell at me. At one point I asked about cross contamination and honestly she probably had a bad experience with another customer but she kept making snarky remarks about cross contamination afterwards. My mom and everyone at the table had to encourage me to ask for new fries because mine had cinnamon on them and she made me feel as if I had done something wrong. I wanted to cry. I kept saying I felt bad and I had people consoling me that I did nothing but ask about the food. I may have not have heard her ask me a few questions but it was so loud in there, I wasn’t outraged about cross contamination, I was understanding that I couldn’t have certain things, and I admit that I should’ve read what the sweet potato fries had on them. I got treated so poorly and I wanted to blame myself even though I did nothing wrong. I was very impressed by the kitchen staff, and the lady helping our waitress because they went above and beyond to make sure they worked with my needs, my burger was pretty good but I shouldn’t have to be comforted by my family because I went out to eat. (Especially honestly if I am used to people being rude about me asking about food.) I hope that this was just a one off day and that her day is better tomorrow but I won’t be going back ever.

You know, a few years ago when the $10 hamburger became commonplace, you really had to be selective because I found I could make most of these burgers BETTER at home. ENTER HOPS BURGER BAR. These guys know their stuff when if comes to burgers and fries. We have been there 4 times so I will just describe our general experiences. First off, the mask thing is silly. You wear your mask when you enter, walk 30 feet past many people who are UNMASKED, then sit down, TAKE YOUR MASK OFF, and remain that way until you leave. Like I said, silly and pointless. Enough of that. Their burgers are absolutely delicious. I have been there with different people each time and all of our meals were excellent. You have a choice of a wide variety of burgers and sides. You can’t go wrong with any of them. My last burger came with an onion gravy that was out of this world. Service has always been good. It does tend to get a little loud in there so be aware of that. Intimate conversations should probably be conducted elsewhere. Parking is plentiful just up the street which is a short walk to the restaurant. This place is worth the 25 minute drive for us from Mocksville. We will be going back again soon. Say hello if you see us there.

Food was pretty good. The burgers were spot on cook wise. The medium had a good sliver of pink. Our server was super friendly and check in a several times. They have sticky floors but we did go towards closing so they probably were busy cleaning up for the night anyway. They fries were nice and crunchy.Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
