Kermit's Hot Dog House

This is a really cool spot old school for sure! When they say the best things aren't always new they are talking about places like this. Drive up service table service pretty much all of it. The neighborhood around it seems to have stayed the same as well for better or worse. The staff was awesome, kinda small inside but setup well. Food is as expected but they do have footlong hotdogs not just the standard. Fairly robust menu, take cards, but close at 4. Styrofoam cups for the win and large is truly large. Thanks for keeping it traditional.

Parking: Don't be turned off by the neighborhood.

Kid-friendliness: Kids no problem enjoy the old traditions.

A Winston classic. Everying is a la carte.
Hotdogs and burgers come with chili, slaw, onions, and mustard as opposed to other toppings. Delicious. Quick to serve and a taste of the past when you walk in

Customer service was friendly, but unorganized we had two people take orders for our drinks. Food took a while to come out. The burger was bland. The coleslaw was not good. There was no salt on fries. We ordered a chef salad and it had slices of craft cheese on it as the cheese. We asked to use the bathroom and we were sent outside to a bathroom with no heat or air in the middle of December. I probably will not be back based off of all of these things.

Old-fashioned fast food. They still have car hops and curb service! Vintage grill with great hot dogs, hamburgers, etc., served with a smile. This is where all the work crews pull up for lunch or breakfast.

Excellent food & service. I'm back again today. I'm here a minimum of once a month. I absolutely love this place & the staff. I'm hot natured & today, December 23, 2024, I absolutely froze. There is no reason a restaurant should be that cold. I had to go back to my car & get my coat. Our food got cold quickly due to the temperature. I'm pretty sure the AC was on & not the heat. I made a comment to the waitress about how cold 🥶 it was & her reply was I just work here. Today was my worst visit in years.
