La Carreta Mexican Restaurant

I ordered a take out burrito carreta and pollo soup.
It was slop everything was mixed up, Beans and rice, the beef in the burrito tasteless, dry like boiled leather.
The soup broth no flavor too much swollen rice. I ate some but completely unsatisfied.

Update: After a brief break following my last La Carreta review, we decided to try their takeout again. I am very pleased to report the restaurant is back to providing excellent food and customer service. They have made noticeable improvements that I greatly appreciate. We're ordering from them regularly again.

We have been loyal customers of this location ever since it opened many years ago, typically placing a takeout order at least once a month. Over the past few months, we have been disappointed to see a noticeable decline in La Carreta's service. Staff are not as friendly or helpful as they have been in the past and takeout food orders are frequently inaccurate. Picking up my takeout order today, I had to stand at the front counter for over 10 minutes before a staff member eventually appeared. There was absolutely no one managing or keeping an eye on the front of the restaurant during this entire time. The employee who finally showed up to help me was curt. There was no apology for the wait and no thanks for my order. The food was adequate but not up to usual La Carreta standards. I'm not sure what's wrong at this location, but it will need to improve for us to continue ordering from them.

Dont recommend. Want be back. I try and give restaurants grace because as a business person myself I know covid had a significant impact on businesses woth lasting effects. Add thst to th2 rise of food cost, lack of accesss to certain items, tariffs, et, etc. However, im BEYOND tired of spending over $50 on food for it to be inedible, horrible, or lack care for presentation, packaging , etc, etc. I was served chips in a literal plastic bag. What is the world coming to? What are we doing in the food service industry? We must do better in food service. The ACP left much to be desired. Decent portion size but lacked flavor and the cheese sauce was severely watered down. Chicken chimis were also unimpressive. Dry. No cheese. Just shredded dry flavorless chicken inside. I've eaten here before in the past and loved them. Then i paid for guacamole and chips only to receive guacamole mush. I have made better guac. 10 out of 10 dont recommend. Please do better. Signed a exhausted mom who just wanted a decent meal.

Review updated- I really appreciated that the restaurant responded so promptly to my review below. They clarified that the Grubhub order did not show up correctly on their end. They refunded the price of the quesadilla order and offered a thorough explanation. I will be cautious of using Grubhub for orders in the future.

Ordered on Grubhub and specified in order no sour cream on the seafood quesadilla. Ordered picked up and upon getting home found the quesadillas drenched in sour cream. Tried the call the restaurant 3 time slot correct the order, no response, went to voicemail the first time and busy upon calling back.

Our past experiences have been really good, however, lately the service and time waiting for your order seems to be lacking. Maybe they have had a staff or management change, but still an okay experience.
