One of the best cafes / bakeries that Winston Salem has to offer.

Sometimes, I buy a small cone of ice cream instead of taking a container home. It requires that I put effort into getting the goods into my mouth. So, why did I ever visit this place?! Everything I have purchased is freaking amazing. No, they don't offer ice cream, but the effort is well worth the rewards. All bakeries are not the same. L&H is among Winston Salem's finest. Oolala, the authentic freshness of the textures and flavor shine in every bite! Best stop in 2025 so far. Highly recommend! 💛

There aren't many cafés in town so the competition doesn't encourage excellence. Louie and Honey is average and run quite inefficiently if you go on a weekday and it is not a holiday. One person with a 12 foot food bar to take care of food orders when there is enough space for 2 or more attendants. The line was about 30 persons outside, by the time I took the photo it had dwindled, this on a very hot sunny day. The coffee is average and could be much better with a higher quality of roast. If you want a Latte you will literally get latte, make sure you ask for more coffee or less milk. Food is unevenly warmed.

Looking for a DELICIOUS cinnamon roll. Rumor is this is the place for best cinnamon rolls. Not for me. Overcooked. Heart of the roll dry and not much cinnamon. People that think these rolls are the best, have not had a DELICIOUS cinnamon roll.

This had to be the worst cafe latte I've ever had. Way too much milk and a very unpleasant espresso coffee flavor. I suppose that's why people request added flavors to their latte.
And BTW, please stop making espresso products by brewing the coffee into a shot glass and then transferring the coffee into a porcelain cup. I don't know who started this trend or why but it is incorrect. By transferring the coffee you lose heat and crema plus is an added and unnecessary step.

The selection was quite minimal. I was very disappointed. And then I saw a Keylime pie, NOT a very big one, for 70$!!!!!!!!!!!That is ridiculous. high end restaurants in Napa Valley do not charge that much!!! I wanted to like this place, but I was disappointed in the food choices. However, the café Cortado was very good..

The service and food is amazing but the seating is super uncomfortable. It looks lovely inside so its a shame when you can't sit for long to enjoy the food and friends.

We had the Key Lime pie. Really nice and large piece. We picked up a whole pie and 4 cinnamon rolls. They look yummy! I would suggest be aware to bring lots of$$$. We ate our pie on outside tables. Had to wait a few minutes for a parking place, and it wasn't lunchtime time yet.
