I honestly don’t see how this place has a 4 plus rating. I eat at the Mario’s in Greensboro and there’s no competition. At this location 1 slice of pizza is equivalent to 3 slices in Greensboro. The pizza lacked favor and the ranch too. $3 for a soda out of the soda machine and it was flat. Service was okay and the restaurant was clean. I highly doubt if I return when I can go to another location and get more bang for my buck!

There are several Mario's but IMO this one is the BEST, and some of the best pizza in Winston Salem! My husband says THE BEST. I think they have a different pizza oven than their sister stores that really makes a difference; a firmer crust and a nice toasty pepperoni flavor. We love New York style pizza and they have the perfect chewy crust, great sauce, and the right amount of cheese! We are always willing to wait for a fresh baked pepperoni! I love to add a side salad so I can top the pizza with crunchy lettuce and olives, then dip the crust in the ranch.

Moved to Winston Salem after living in NJ/NY my entire life. Finally found my go to for ACTUAL NY style pizza. Ordered a cheese well done - my standard first pizza order and was super pleased. My fiancée and I both said to each other “finally a go to pizza place”. Will definitely order again.

I really like a good Italian Sub and since I'd never tried Mario's version, I popped in and ordered a small one. The sub was quickly ready. This was an excellent sub - a nicely fresh roll, well filled with plenty of meat and cheese , topped with fresh tasting lettuce & tomato, and well finished with oil and vinegar. I will definitely try this sandwich again!
The environment is wonderful to share with the family and friends. You should try the pepperoni cheese pizza; its texture and taste is delicious. Best pizza shop around.

First visit here and food was excellent, we'll be back for sure. We had NY pizza slices, side salad with homemade ranch, garlic knots (had to buy more they were so good). My only complaint was the tea was not good. Taste like a bottled tea with lemon. With a good tea, the meal would have been perfect. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.

Not only does it have amazing New York style pizza, but it also has the best chicken wings, steak and cheese subs, mozzarella sticks, garlic knots. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
We were visiting from Chicago. This was our first time trying this place at the suggestion of some friends, and we are glad we did!! Pizza was amazing, and the wings were flavorful and cooked perfectly. Thai-Chili flavor was my favorite. Absolutely must try the seasoned fries!! Will stop in again next time I am in town!Vegetarian options: Decent selection of veggies to go on your pizza, but the cheese pizza alone was delicious!
