This was our first trip to Milners. Our waiter was very polite, efficient and very knowledgeable. The food was great and we will definitely be back.

Waiter was great, the fried green tomatoes were so good, and the duck special was fantastic! They have live jazz on Sundays but it was at a pleasant volume, very enjoyable. A terrific experience, as always.

My daughter's 18th birthday and she wanted to celebrate at Milner's. Great brunch menu and staff was very accommodating to a party of 9.

We and our guest were extremely satisfied with our main courses. There was a smidgeon of disappointment with the desserts, however! Pecan pie and New York cheesecake seemed of slightly lower caliber (not creamy enough). Otherwise, however, the wait staff and personnel, the overall service, and generally everything about the meal was wonderful!

I noted on the reservation that this was a birthday. No one ever mentioned it. We were seated in a booth right by an outside door and also a private room that had an extremely loud party in it. The host came by and apologized that the outside door would have to be open to let someone in in a wheelchair because they couldn't open the door in the private room. That of course was fine, but then what actually happened was that someone was banging on the outside door trying to get in, and we had to let them in. Then they left the door wide open, so we had to close it so that we weren't freezing cold. We were returning to Milners because we received such excellent service and we loved the bread when we came previously. No one ever brought us bread. No one offered bread. As we were leaving, we noticed that every other table had bread. Total fail. No one offered dessert. Seriously, we were halfway through the entrées and they brought the check. the food was excellent. The front of the house was terrible.

Alyssa was a fantastic server and was very thoughtful. The fried oysters, fried green tomatoes, and she crab soup were phenomenal. The filet mignon was superb. We enjoyed the Sunday night jazz!

The food was very bad for the price.
Everything of this restaurant reminds me of a normal creap restaurant. NOT FINE DINING AT ALL. Save your $$$. Go somewhere the chief and server take price in Quality. The chicken brest of half breading. Very Bad. Steak was way over cooked.... like Leather. Very tough.

Presentation at a restaurant such as Milner's is very important in my opinion. I was very surprised at the "plainness" of our dishes when delivered. One plate was just the ribeye steak and a spoonful of mashed potatoes.....nothing to say that you just paid $52 for this piece of meat and a scoop of potatoes. Same thing with the presentation of the filet. Very boring. 3 plates included spinach as a side and not 1 of the 3 people who received this side could eat it. They were disappointed to say the least. Our server, Savannah, was fantastic! Very attentive and very knowledgeable. Wish we could give her more than 5 starts. Overall, we will go back but would love to see them "step-up" their overall presentations of the plates.

Excellent service, good food with Sunday jazz. Very surprised that there is no waiting line at the door on Sunday evenings :)

The service, the food and the drinks were excellent. It is truly a Winston Salem Staple and it's always great food

We had an awesome anniversary dinner at Milner's this week. Everything from the decor to the service and food was exceptional. Our server Blair was very friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. We will definitely dine at Milner's next time we are in Winston Salem.

I had the calamari as a appetizer and it was great. All the dishes were good. I had a margarita and it was on point. The old fashion was strong.

We ordered 5 different beverages and 5 different entrees, and each was prepared well. The restaurant was full, and the jazz band played. Clearly Milner's is a destination.

The service was absolutely five-star, attentive, friendly, and professional. However, for a restaurant positioned as high-end, the food just didn’t deliver. The restaurant was nearly empty during our visit, and while the presentation was nice, the quality wasn’t there. I’ve honestly had better crab cakes from Harris Teeter’s (Signature crab cakes). The succotash with the crabcakes seemed old and flavorless. For the prices charged, I expected a much higher level of flavor and quality. Overall, great service but very average food for the cost.
I won’t be going back again and it’s the second time I’ve eaten there and both times disappointing.
