This was our 34 wedding anniversary when I booked i requested a seat in the back as I knew if would be much quieter upon arrival the Host told us the back was for parties only and set us up front very loud and not what we wanted .
I had high hopes for this restaurant, especially after waiting several months for a reservation that worked with my schedule. Unfortunately, the experience just wasn't my cup of tea. The space itself is small and quaint , which I typically love , but the initial welcome was underwhelming. When we walked in, we weren't greeted right away. Despite being only a few feet from the bar where staff were chatting, no one acknowledged us until after we stood there for a bit. When we were finally greeted, it felt more like an afterthought than a warm welcome. To be fair, once we were acknowledged we were seated promptly, as we did have a reservation. Our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful; easily the highlight of the experience. As for the food, I ordered the meatloaf and was surprised by what was served: it resembled two hamburger patties with melted cheese and sautéed tomatoes on top. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't come together well — it lacked cohesion and felt like a mix of ingredients that didn't quite belong together. I also didn't care for the cheese grits or collard greens, which just didn't suit my palate. While I can appreciate that others may enjoy this style of food, it simply wasn't for me.
Absolutely delicious dinner with unique preparation of the entrees we ordered. They carry everything to the next level with creativity and yumminess. Our waitress, Katie, provided us with the dipping sauce recipe for the southern spring rolls per the chef. We were quite surprised that she made that extra effort. Thank you! This was our first visit and we drove an hour to get there. Will definitely be back. So good!
It was delicious but no matter how carefully I describe my allergies, I always get glutened. It's a shame because I love this place otherwise.
Now let me tell you. Real real good. Now if you want you some real southern food, this is your place. Don't get me started on them grits and that meatloaf. Reminded me of my ol' gram gram's dinner back in those hot summer days a while back.
Everything was delicious and the service was spectacular. Sat at one of the tables outside for my husband's birthday and the summer breeze paired perfectly with the port spritzer 😉 definitely try the Southern egg rolls, the pulled pork and collards was a stellar combo. The fried chicken with compote was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had.
This was our 2nd time for dinner. Absolutely loved it both times. Sat outside this time, inside a bit chilly w/AC... Each time had the best service by everyone we encountered, and the food is outstanding. Love the ambiance and decor. One of our favorite places when we visit WS!
Love the tomato pie! One of my favorites!
Food was excellent! Get the fried chicken with Mac n cheese!
Lovely meal. Meatloaf and tomato pie were excellent.

We used to love Mozelle’s. The food did
not meet our expectations, nor did the service. We left our plates practically untouched and the waitress didn’t even comment.
Everything here is exceptional, but I am addicted to the tomato pie. Service is always amazing.
Actually it was hot. But we had a lovely server. Tomato pie had a fantastic crust. Weren't fans of the puttanesca but then we all make it differently. Besides being too warm and it was a hot day, I enjoyed my lunch. Loved the succotash! Thanks to the chef and server.
Fast and friendly service. Came 20 minutes before my reservation and was seated immediately. I was able to change the side at no extra cost and the serving size was perfect. Not too much and not too little!
Usually consistently good food and service, but last night we took friends who had never been before and Mozelle's sadly missed the mark. My medium-rare NY Strip was chared black on one side. Server, when asked if they served a particular beer, curtly referred us to the menu rather than just answer the question. Our guests noticed the rudeness. Maybe small things, but a surprising deviation from the high standards we usually enjoy there. An off night. : /
