We were downtown and decided to stop here for lunch. We actually got a parking space across from the restaurant. As we opened the door to go in, there was this wonderful, amazing aroma. Being here for the first time, we didn't know where or how to order our food so we asked a couple in front of us. When it was our turn, Maria and John helped us out. We ordered the Wednesday chicken skewer special with rice. My daughter got the small (1 skewer) and I got the large (2 skewers). We also has 2 sides to go with our meal as well as a corn muffin or a dinner roll. We really enjoyed our meal! Everything was delicious and fresh. The seasoning on the skewers were very flavorful! The corn was very good! The Mac and cheese....WOW!!! DELICIOUS! John and Maria were very friendly, welcoming and helpful! Looking forward to coming back again!

I had a BLT which was really good! Fries aren’t cooked long enough but still ok. Restaurant is pretty dirty that’s why I gave a 3 star on atmosphere. The guy that served us, I believe was Murphy who was very nice and friendly. Overall great place to eat but cleanliness could be improved.
Kid-friendliness: He could have been a little friendlier to children but was nice to adults.

Stopped in for a simple lunch. Staff/owners (father & daughter) were rude. Customers behind me were served first and after conversation, I could
Tell they were “locals.” Once food was finally called out, the fries had been reheated more than once and the burger over cooked. Upon finish I attempted to clear my plate and trash myself while the staff looked through me and walked right past to my male companion to assist him. Obviously I’m female and they didn’t even acknowledge my existence. Had I known this was the treatment and type of food, I would have never tipped at payment! Such a poor representation of WS!

Such a fun little spot to grab lunch and ice cream. Stopped in with my girls after visiting the museum, and the food was delicious. Ice cream was great, and there were a lot of fun flavors to choose from.

We have came here multiple times and had breakfast when it was still served and loved it then. We came in for lunch today & left very satisfied! Chicken had so much flavor and cooked perfectly. Our daughter also made a mess in the dining area. The owner was very friendly, cleaned up the mess and also gave us new drinks. He truly does care about his customer satisfaction. We will definitely be back for lunch soon!

So disappointed. As an often customer I have noticed a sudden decline in food quality. No more green beans in the delicious tomato sauce. No long one of the few places with real mashed potatoes. Warm meats instead of nice and hot. Lack of favor on the meats too.Hope we get back to the old Murphy’s Lunch & Breakfast Too soon.

First time eating here, it was a little mom and pop-like diner. We decided to go since it was across the street from the new Kaledium. Food was reasonably priced, tasted great, and service was great. I think it was the owner that served us and made our food. He was very nice and polite and even gave our kids free ice cream when my two year old was having a tantrum. Definitely will go back!

I went here with my daughter after checking out the new Kaleideum downtown location. I would definitely recommend this place for kids - they have a good children's menu that is well-priced (I think it was about $7 for a combo). I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was excellent.Definitely looks like a dive so will give atmosphere 4 stars (it personally doesn't bother me but others might find it grungy).

I took my 2 young children here yesterday for lunch. The food was homemade and delicious! The gentleman working was so kind and patient, even when my 2 year old wouldn’t stay in her seat (she was standing next to our table, not running around). We don’t visit Winston often, but we will definitely return the next time we’re in town!
