they were holding a private event and unable to seat us for the reservation due to the kitchen being overwhelmed. it took 45 minutes to be seated. if management had comped us a drink it would have gone a long way in easing frustration. also the reviews mentioned how accommodating the place is for gluten allergy. while there were a few things we could order i would not say there were a ton of options. and if true celiac even less
It was a first visit to this restaurant for my wife and I. The restaurant is in a historic mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Parking was no problem and we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was very friendly and appropriately attentive without being intrusive. Our food was cooked to perfection. It's my favorite restaurant of all-time, so don't look in this review for any critiques. The food, service, and the house itself are all spectacular. The rotating menu is a really nice touch & the chef amazes you with every item. If you have one night to spend in Winston, go here.
