Only offer take out. Family of 4. Ordered meals, #1, #2, and 2 #4s. Burgers were much different than photos. No tomatoes on any of them. The #2 was only meat and cheese even though photo showed pickles and onions. We ordered milkshakes which were so loaded with chocolate chips that we could not drink them. And no whip cream or cherry.. Fries were soggy and cold. Only drive through service. Had we dined in instead of taking food to go, we could have complained. But we were driving home while eating in the car, and didn't want to drive back to Steak N Shake to tell them about their service. Never again! We use to love to eat in the Steak N Shakes!!!

Not open 24 hours. Complete lie. $15/hr, for what? To not hold up their end? I guess it's my fault for expecting the entitled to do their job. Why have signs that say the drive thru is open? It is Winston-Salem, so this is really par for the course.

Since covid they have really changed . food doesn't seem fresh & the string french friesare terrible. wait staff really need to be trained better

We had to wait in line for close to 30 mins before I even got to the speaker to order and the drive thru wasn’t that busy. Only 1 car at the speaker and 1 at the window when I pulled up! People were pulling off and blowing their horns over the matter! Not sure what has happened or what’s going on with this location because they use to be a good place to go! They had plenty of employees to work and the dinning room was closed after 2 pm!

4 times we have gone here and the service is horrible. They close midday while you are waiting on line, never answer the phone and you can't leave a voicemail! The guy must be from Burger King or McDs bc he's awful!! The food is made sloppy and forget getting a good milkshakes! Close it down!! No one stays there anyway!!

Guy seemed annoyed we were ordering. Didn’t listen to us.. took 10 mins to get our food and another 15 to get our shakes, only to find out our shakes weren’t even right , we asked for no whipped cream and cherry but we got no cherries and whip. Seems like it’s time to shut it down or send them to Stratford to see how to operate.

We waited in drive through after paying for them to bring out our food for ever! There wasn’t but 1 vehicle ahead of us when we pulled in. Idk what the heck is going on! We almost pulled off even tho we paid!

Understaffed and on multiple occasions no one is there to answer the drive through window. The service is sub-par too which is unfortunate because Steak 'n Shake is one of my favorite places to eat lunch. I'm greatly disappointed with their team and management.

Got in line in drive thru at 8:30 pm with 3 cars already there..the car at the speaker said he had been sitting there for a while waiting on someone to take his order...all 4 of the cars left...there were 3 parked cars there like it was employees. But no one bothered to take anyones order...we had to go across town to the other location. I even called the store and someone picked up the phone did not say hello and said this has got to stop.

I’ve been here twice within the same week at 9pm and 9:30pm and was told that they don’t have any bread, chicken, fries, milkshakes, nothing because they waiting on the truck.. they have a sign out that say they close at 10. All employees are standing around inside the store. They told me that they have been closed for a hour and a half.. I find this hard to believe that both nights they don’t have anything to eat.. I asked if there was anything I could order and they said they were literally out of everything.. This happened twice in one week!!!
