The perfect blend of ingredients for Hibachi chicken. Not too spicy just right! The white sauce truly amazing. Vegetables were the perfect stir fry not too well done! This is my new favorite place only 5 minutes away!

Close to our hotel and was looking for a close Asian restaurant. Very nice guy who took our order, collected our money, cooked our food, brought our food to the table, and threw out our trash. We both had teriyaki chicken with fried rice and veggies. Decent, it's like an Asian fast food. Was expecting it to be better, but it just didn't deliver. Would not recommend.

I discovered Tanoshii by mistake close to 20 years ago, it has been my go to take out spot since then. When I was in the hospital welcoming my third child suffering through hospital food, my first meal request was from Tanoshii. We used to eat in the restaurant quite a bit pre-COVID but it's mainly just a take out spot now. Basic indoor seating is available. The bad news, the original owners who were from Tokyo, retired and moved away. The good news, the new owners have assured everyone that the recipes are the same. Time will tell but for now my youngest will only order hibachi take out from Tanoshii. I have tried to trick him many times with other places and sometimes he knows before he even takes a bite that's it's an imposter. I can't speak much to their Chinese dishes as we typically stick to the Japanese side of the menu. So, 5 stars as it stands because they do take out right. Fresh veggies, lightly sauced proteins that aren't drowning in heavy oil or sauce, and seasoned well. So Tanoshii gets my vote, just pretty please don't change! ! Pictured is hibachi chicken with broccoli and white rice. Not the most exciting dish to photograph or highlight but just what the teen wanted last night.

Had a nice experience here a while ago but now it seems to be shutting down. They never are open when I try to place an order. I can understand with the decline of in eatery's staff that adding a Sunday as an off day but to not be open on a Saturday just seems odd? So I guess I will be looking for a new place

Absolutely loved it. First time and it was great!!Massive amount of food, hot fresh and delicious!!We will definitely be returning!!Wheelchair accessibility: It was very easy to manage my electric wheelchair in the restaurant.

They used to have very delicious and unique Crab Rangoon but have replaced it with this greasy, sweet, generic nonsense. Truly disappointed.
The food was great. I ordered steak and chicken hibachi. The portions were plenty, and their prices were definitely affordable.

Boring food now. Old menu was so much better. Why pick this place over any typical Chinese takeout spot? I guess if you live close by maybe? I don't know...

We ordered take out tonight and I am so disappointed!Steak was jerky, my dog didn’t even eat it.Shrimp was unflavored, veggies were mostly raw and no flavor, rice was stuck together and tasted old!We will not give a second chance. It is 6pm no reason for old rice.PB&J it is!

food is always good never had a complaint before but i had bought me and my mom some lunch for work and found hair wrapped up in my rice smh im so disgusted i dont even wanna eat my left overs

Agree with the other reviewer- best Americanized- Chinese food in Winston! They have both our favorites- sesame tofu and hibachi udon noodles, and everything was delicious! Definitely making this a regular stop.
