I have never left a Texas Roadhouse hungry and disappointed but today was a first. The bread wasn't fluffy and soft like it normal is, instead the bread was stiff amd flavorless. My partner and I both asked for medium steaks and received rare steaks. We had it sent back and the steaks came back so over cooked that it wasn't edible. We will never come back to this location!

Sat at the bar and ordered 2 prime rib dinners, one to go. 3 bartenders and getting their attention was tough.
I ordered the dinners medium rare, they were served a little more than raw. The prime rib was rubbery and inedible. I changed that to a filet minon which was good.
The to go prime rib was equally raw and tough.
2nd TRH in NC that we've tried. Strike 2.

Great place to eat. It's overall the best steakhouse for the average person around! Better service and food than anything within 5 miles of it.

We ordered pickup for two last night and were disappointed. We each ordered country fried steak and two sides--corn and mashed potatoes for one, Caesar salad and mashed potatoes for the other. They told us it would be ready in 25 minutes. Okay, so, here goes:
1) food was room temp, not hot, or even warm. That's because it was ready something like 15 minutes earlier than projected.
2) the Caesar dressing tasted like mayonnaise. We just threw the salad away.
3) the steaks--that was the weirdest part. One was like a Flintstones-size steak. It was thin but huge. But the other one was like its baby. It was seriously like 1/3 the size of the other. That tells me that they don't care about QC on pickup orders, maybe? I can't imagine they'd serve it that way at the table.
4) the sides tasted okay, but to comment again on treatment of pickup customers, the portion sizes were very small.
...after all, we paid the same price for pickup as we would have at the table (we even tipped a bit, in return for far less service). They could have extended the same courtesy to us as to a dine-in couple.

My husband and I went during a time of day that it wasn't busy. Neither of us are tiny people and we're seated at one of the smallest booths there. There were numerous larger booths available. When we asked to be moved our waitress was extremely rude. We both ordered NY Strip steak med. well. When we cut into our steaks they were almost rare. We both had ate part of our potatoes and drank our teas. We waited for our waitress to return with more tea and watched her standing with other staff cutting up . We finally got the attention of another waitress and asked for more tea and a manager. The young lady manager came over and we showed her our steaks. She took our plates and when she returned them part of my steak that I had cut was gone as well as both of our potatoes. We inquired about the rest of our food to be told they thought we were done with them . We don't mind spending for good food and service but this was an epic failure on both!!!!

I am very disappointed at the welcoming of the restaurant. Tonight we went and were greeted by the most ride hostess I have encountered. Very unprofessional. My sister was celebrating her birthday and the encounter she received made her ill as the hostess was super rude. After asking to speak to management she started cussing at me in Spanish. This is not professional at all. Will not be returning. I would love for management to reach out and Regional Manager as well.

I just want to start off as saying Ive worked for TRH for 4 years over a few locations and the service at this one is absolutely terrible.

Ive tried to call ahead to place my name on the wait list, not a reservation as TRH doesnt do that. The host stated I can only call up to an hour ahead. I called at 6pm asking to put me down for 7pm. The host stated that she could not do that. Even though it was within the hour ahead as she had just stated.

TRH is very prominent about hitting certain times and talking points during one’s experience. Our drinks were never refilled within a timely manner. Our salads only had two cherry tomatoes on it each. Once our steaks arrived they were just dropped off without asking us to cut into them to make sure they were cooked correctly, nor were we asked how it was throughout our meal or if we needed any additionals. Luckily it all tasted as it should, but could have used more butter/sc on the potatoes but never got a chance to request more.

Considering the two failed inspections, and poor service, it’s not a place worth visiting, as you will just be treated as an inconvenience and ignored.

I was a die hard believer in TRH but since being in Winston; Outback is your better choice for quality and service.

We ordered Takeout tonight monday 1/20/2024 @ 5:44pm. We ordered a 12 oz ft. worth ribeye, what i got was a steak, so missed cut that 3/4 is thin as paper and overcooked, and the other 1/4 is under cooked and mostly unedible fat. I feel like im eating shoe leather. it's so overcooked, hard to chew, and swollow. We asked for butter for my sweet potato, and instead, we got cheese. I'm not sure why that is.. My broccoli consisted of mostly stems long tree branches of stems. The kids' meal of chicken tender are prtty much the crumbs you would find at the bottom of a bag. Less than 1/2 inch pieces that are mostly just breading. For my husband strip meal and my son's tenders, we requested 4 BBQ we got 1. We are going to have to find another steakhouse because the last two times we ordered were not great, but this is awful. Waste of money, food not worth the price, also waste of gas to go pickup. Just over all a very bad dinner, I regret not taking something out of the freezer for dinner.

Ordered 6 oz sirloin med rare. Sent the first one back because it was too tough. Sent the second one back because it was not only tough as the first one but it was cold. Ended up getting the salmon instead. Usually the sirloins are really tasty and tender. Very disappointed
