Winston is really stepping up lately with fun little pop ups and special dinners and I'm here for it! Last night I was able to snag tickets to an Italian Trattoria inspired event at The Caviste - Wine Shop inside Bobby Boy Bakeshop. A casual meal that was a mixture of serve yourself and table service. I love the opportunity to try bites of several different items so these kinds of dinners are always super fun in that sense and it allows the chef to be creative and have a little fun and I get to experience several dishes. And for those that aren't interested in committing to an event, The Caviste is a great spot to have glass of wine and some bar snacks/small plates when you don't feel like a big heavy meal(5:30-7pm only) Or just purchase some wine from their extensive wine selection.

Great pop up dinner at Caviste. Great wines, food. Service was excellent, very informative about the wines. Definitely worth trying pop ups around d town

Caviste offers an inviting, casual, but upscale, wine bar experience, that, coupled with the food offerings from the cohabitant Bobby Boy Bakery, and combined with the friendly, and, extremely knowledgable, owners and staff, delivers a palette-expanding, and nourishing, experience that make it a "must-try" destination in Winston Salem.

We specifically went to try wines from an area we are interested in. Wines were great and knowledge was helpful. Great space and we will definitely be back.

Amazing ambiance, food & wine list. This is the romantic date night spot Winston needed!

I walked in with a guest and we were a bit caught off guard as we did not know what to expect. We arrived to grab a bottle of wine to go and perhaps try a pastry. The pastry kitchen closes in the evening for the kitchen to provide small plates for the wine store customers. Our server at the bar guided our tasting and small plate selection (boudin was on point) while the manager/shop owner helped with the bottle to go selection. Will absolutely return as the environment was quiet and energy level was comfy/cozy.Parking: Free and plentiful given the size of the establishment.

I had been wanting to check this place out for awhile, and most weeks, they have some sort of free wine tasting going on. It's a super cute shop, shared with Bobby Boy Bakeshop. And the selection is great, but I would say the service is subpar. For some reason, the people working the counter seem a bit "stiff"? or standoffish, just not very welcoming or inviting. The first time I went, the person working just made eye contact with me a few times but didn't greet me, provide me with a menu, or ask if I needed anything, and I just felt awkward and out of place.

Not impressed with expensive wine and wine host suggesting same wines to everyone not knowleable as claimed. Not very sweet wines as others have claimed in reviews . Sandwiches bread are hard as a rock .

Wine shop meets bakery - what a lovely combo! We recently got the chance to try Caviste (wine bar inside of Bobby Boy) and it will absolutely be going into the rotation of places to visit. The wine selection was one of the best I've seen in the triad - they've got so many options from various regions, there is bound to be something for everyone! In addition to their great wine selection they have a small menu of snacks with a slight European flare. We got the meat charcuterie, bread service with salted butter, and Burrata. The Burrata was the table favorite because it was a unique take on your traditional Burrata - it was topped with delicious olive oil, anchovies, and various herbs - YUM! Already planning our next trip back!

Wow! I've been to Bobby Boy several times, but I never really knew much about Caviste. These two share a space, if you didn't know! Bobby Boy is an upscale bakery and Caviste is a wine and tapas bar. There is a parking lot in the back which is a win for downtown Winston-Salem! Nestled between West End and Buena Vista. Caviste has such a posh and upscale yet warm and relaxed vibe. This is a perfect place for drinks and snacks after work, or a date night! We stopped in here before an event we were going to so we could grab a glass of wine and a light snack. They had a nice little tapas menu and our group of 6 got several things to share. We decided to just order everything and split the bill at the end, the bar staff was very welcoming and helpful! I got the glass of Chianti, and the lady behind the bar told me a bit about it and properly poured a taste before giving me the full pour which I always like. It was a great traditional Chianti just as she described. They had a really nice selection of red, white, and sparkling. The snacks were REALLY good. I feel like sometimes at places like this the snacks aren't the greatest quality, just something to pair with the wine but whoa. Raw oysters (they had 2 varieties) elegantly presented, and my friend said they were some of the best she's had. The meat plate was also very nicely presented (honestly, everything was!) with some delicious bakery bread (I suspect from Bobby Boy) with 2 meats, arugula, grain mustard and pickled beets. We enjoyed and it was perfectly shareable. The sourdough plate (extra bread, because duh) was about as pretty as a plate of bread can be. Mixed grains like pumpernickel made it stand out and of course served with plenty of butter. The burrata might have been my favorite. It was torn apart in a bowl, not the traditional presentation but it was EXCELLENT and so fresh. Garnished with fresh basil and olive oil, it was divine! I can't believe I am just now finding out about this place. This is a return FOR SURE!

Wonderful experience at this lovely establishment. Elevated, cozy, casual environment. Enough to make you feel at home, but in the most up scale feeling. Met one of the owners and she was positively lovely and inviting. Made us feel welcomed and at home. The gentleman behind the bar was top notch. From recommends of wine to service he did not miss a beat. Even remember me visiting a few months back and asking my name again. Upscale service about all the rest around. A must visit if you’re in town.
