We recently got the chance to try Ginger Fox when we picked up some desserts and cakes for Christmas! Their space itself is really conveniently located downtown off of 4th street so it's easy to find and park. Inside it still reminds me of a juice shop so I think there could be some work done to make it more of a cocktail bar feel. The tables and lighting and counters remind you of a juice or ice cream shop. The staff was SO kind and attentive but the ordering process online was a bit clunky. You have to order online using a QR code but the entire table/group as to order at the same time and pay at once. Something happened and our order doubled so they prepped too many drinks compared to what we ordered. The drinks themselves were really well balanced and crafted! I loved the Oaxacan old fashioned and would order this over and over again! Overall the drinks were great but a few of the logistics need some tweaking.

No one else is making cocktails at this level. It's obvious they opened this bar because they care about what they do. Have visited well over 30 times in the 2 years of their being open. Consistently the best cocktails in town, with a reliable set of favorites as well as frequent seasonal selections that showcase their creativity and new finds. Warmest staff imaginable and always a great time. You can get cozy in the corner for a date but also come with friends for a casual table seating or sit at the bar. Bartender's Choice is always outstanding and a fun conversation about your preferences is appreciated! They've always nailed it.

It is somewhat hard to determine what this place is, kind of looks like an ice cream shop from the front.After going in we learned that it is a cocktail bar and they do have some incredible drinks! They also were selling deserts made by a local baker (Elderflour Baking) which were absolutely amazing, we will be back for the deserts alone. The ambiance is very modern but slightly confusing, service was great!

We came to Ginger Fox the Friday before Christmas to pick up desserts we ordered from Elderflour Baking Co. We were with a group so we decided to all order a drink and chill for a bit before going our separate ways. There were things I really liked and disliked about our outing at Ginger Fox. The boozy coffee I ordered wasn't great but when I added a candy cane shot, it was PERFECT. It was also super nice that the staff had a surplus of cookies (they were offering cookie decorating for the holidays) and they let us have cookies for free. The downside of our visit was the toast app. My husband is a technology guru and even he couldn't figure the thing out. Somehow we ended up ordering a double order of the same drink and I asked if I could keep it if I pay for it and the guy behind the counter walked off with the beverages and never came back. So it was one drink for me LOL It is also extremely quiet in there which was off putting. I don't think it was any fault of the establishment except they could have had the music a little louder so it wasn't so awkward to have a conversation with my friends without everyone in there hearing what we were saying. I think the concept behind Ginger Fox is super unique and would love to come back and give them another try!

We stopped into The Ginger Fox to pick up our Christmas pie and cookie tin from Elderflour baking co and decided to grab a drink and a slice of pie while we were there. They had extra cookie decorating supplies so they brought some to our table while we were there and that was fun! They use the toast tab where you order on an app which was very confusing. It would only let one person in our party pay and kept giving us trouble. We asked the waiter and they did not want us to pay another way although that's what we had to end up doing. Drinks took a pretty long time to get and they weren't the best drinks we've had. I got to Paloma mocktail and the price point was great but it wasn't a great drink. It didn't feel like a cocktail bar experience and maybe I shouldn't have went in expecting that. I'll go back to give them another shot.

My new favorite bar! I can’t say enough good things about this place. The cocktails are creative, well balanced, and most importantly delicious! I love that you can customize your old fashioned from spirit, to sweetener, to bitters. And This may seem trivial to some, but they’ve got the best ice! My friends and I always have an amazing time trying all of the cocktails, mocktails, and small bites. Haven’t been too impressed with the food options and I think we’ve tried almost all of them. The carrot cake and tachitos (though, a bit pricey) are delish though. I love that they have contactless ordering at the table. It makes ordering so fast and easy. All of the precautions they’re taking during these crazy COVID times to keep everyone safe are truly appreciated. I feel safer dining here than I do literally anywhere else in the triad. Currently, they’re asking that inside parties of 4 or more give them a heads up (we’ve made a resa via IG with super quick response) and have your proof of vaccination. The owners and staff are the sweetest and service is always top notch. They also offer private cocktail classes on Sundays. The decor is sexy, modern boho- perfect for date night or drinks out with friends. Welcome to downtown Winston, we’re so happy you’re here!
Such an amazing bar with amazing drinks and amazing staff! We stumbled upon it while driving downtown at night and it looked stunning on the inside.
