My husband and I went to Wine Merchants yesterday. We have been to the restaurant several times and have bought at least a dozen or half a dozen of wine 4 or 5 times when we have stopped by the store. We like the place and everybody has been very friendly each time. Today there was a very nice and friendly attendant. I asked if I could use the restroom and he looked at his boss for authorization. His boss said that he didn’t have the restaurant open and his restroom was not open for the same reason. I totally understand we are going through times when we have to disinfect and take extra precautions everywhere but if your store is open, it’s just the restroom and I’m a client. Anyway, we didn’t leave right away because the guy attending us was very nice and I didn’t want to make a big deal of it. I think a client is a client but that’s just me. We still purchased 6 bottles of wine instead of the 12 we thought we would. From now on we will go to the Caviste or to Total Wine instead.

Great wine store next to Village Juice Company on Stratford - a bottle of their wine goes very well with that salad. Love that they were able to point me directly to the wine I wanted and it was reasonably priced. Someday I'll get in to their restaurant, too!

Love going to this hidden gem. My wife and I went late on a Saturday for dinner. Got the following for under $60.00: Great Charcuterie board, split the chicken sandwich with fries and had a total of 3 glasses of wine.

Great wine and beer selections! Had poutine, charcuterie and breads and spreads for appetizers- very very good and generous portions. The fried chicken sandwich was yummy! Enjoyed getting a flight of 3 different wines to taste! Service was very good without being fussy or obtrusive.
