“I have been to Side Bar before maybe a year ago and I don't know if things changed or if I changed but I'm glad I gave it a try again. Previously I didn't think the portion sizes were big enough or tasty enough for the high price but when I visited this time I was 100% satisfied, I even needed a to go box.I went with my husband after work for what I told him would be apps and cocktails. We had 1 drink each that we loved. I had the Pecan Honey Rum Sour, he had the Paloma.We had the chorizo empanadas and chicken tinga nachos as appetizers. I LOVED the nachos. Our server Ashlyn was amazing! She was very friendly and welcoming. She knew the menu well and was able to make recommendations based on what we told her we liked. Everything she recommended was fantastic. We were torn when choosing between a few things. The nachos were her recommendation and we loved them. It was also alot bigger than we expected and well worth the price. We also got the Korean Fried Chicken tacos and the Chicken Flautas. I was so full that I only tasted these two but they were really good. The korean tacos were full of flavor! I wasn't expecting it. They were sweet and spicy and so filled that stuff was falling out when I took my first bite. I liked the chicken flautas but they weren't as flavorful as the Korean tacos but that was to be expected. It was also a big portion, the two flautas were on top of rice and beans.Everything was well worth the price because of taste and portion size. The atmosphere was great but if it is a busy time it will fill up quickly due to it's size. There is also outside seating and the area looks nice and there are heat lamps. If you have the pleasure of having Ashlyn as your server you will have the best experience ever!Parking: There are a few spots on the street. There is also a lot on the side and around the back of the restaurant. Signs say it's paid parking.Kid-friendliness: I saw a couple with a baby carrier in a high chair so I know they have high chairs. The food is all sharable so it's good for kids. I don't recall seeing a kids menu.“
“A great place for chicken prepared the way you want (mild, spicy, lots of heat, straps, a sandwich, or quesadilla). Love their fried pickle spears, okra, and coleslaw. A place to hear live music as well. They are also open and agreeable to percent nights for your organization.“
“Our experience was very good! We have been coming here for a while and some times it’s a miss, but very rare! Most recently the staff has had a boost in quality, service, knowledgeability, and attentiveness. I say this all the way from the oyster preparers bar to the hostess staff, and mostly the waiters! Ezekiel is awesome and knows his stuff about the menu options, able to answer every question with good relatable feedback. You’ve got our business, just keep doing what you’re doing!
