Food with a extra helping of kindness. April 7, I approached the entrance and did not notice that the restaurant was closed. Nevertheless, a kind gentleman answered the door instead of waving me away. Thus, I learned the pizza oven was broken. I declared I had wanted a small salad only, no pizza. Again I was not waved away. A second gentleman behind the counter said he thought he could meet my request. Very soon, a small carryout container was presented with the salad topped with house Italian vinegarette. It was the best small garden salad ever!! I am looking forward to the opportunity to experience the full menu options from the historic family owned business.
